Chapter 21 twentieth fret separation

"Subhuti. What do you mean. The Buddha can have a full body and see it.no.World Honored One.The Tathagata should not be seen with a full body.why.Tathagata has a full body. That is, non-fulfilling physical body.It is a full body.Subhuti.What do you mean.If you come here, you can meet each other.no.World Honored One.The Tathagata should not meet each other with its fullness.why.Tathagata said that all phases are sufficient. That is not enough. It is full of names. " 【Big husband】 "Subhuti. What do you mean. The Buddha can have a full body and see it.no.World Honored One.The Tathagata should not be seen with a full body.why.Tathagata has a full body. That is, non-fulfilling physical body.It is a full body. "

The first half of the Diamond Sutra contains questions woven by Subhuti and answers given by the Buddha. In the second half, the Buddha spoke automatically, fearing that he would not understand, so he explained step by step.At the beginning of the Diamond Sutra, after the Buddha had a full meal, he wanted to meditate and rest. When he met Subhuti who was not sensible, he asked questions desperately. His compassion came, so he didn’t meditate at all, and let me tell you bit by bit!Let's take a closer look, the Diamond Sutra is such a book!It has been mentioned layer by layer before that none of the thirty-two signs are Tathagata. If you see that all the signs are not signs, you will see the Tathagata.Next, he is a mother-in-law, very compassionate, just in case you don't understand, and this is what he is talking about again.

Subhuti, what do you mean? Can the Buddha be complete in all aspects?Pay attention, Buddha is used here, not Tathagata. In some places, he used Tathagata, Tathagata, and in other places, he used Buddha and Buddha. You must pay attention to every word, otherwise the Diamond Sutra will be recited in vain. The Buddha here represents the sambhogakaya, the physical body of the Buddha. The sambhogakaya of the Buddha is very beautiful!Despite twelve years of starvation, she is still beautiful. The Buddha was a beautiful man with thirty-two physical features and eighty kinds of virtues. It was because Ananda saw how beautiful the Buddha was that he followed the Buddha to become a monk. In the end, he was scolded by the Buddha, saying that Ananda became a monk because of his lust. The Buddha possesses a complete physical body, a masculine appearance, and is different from all ordinary people. Not only does he have thirty-two physical appearances, but he also has eighty kinds of benefits that follow, which are characteristics that ordinary people do not have. This is called a complete physical body.

When a person becomes a Buddha, he must have the appearance of a man. Many places in the Buddhist scriptures praise the importance of the appearance of a man. It is equal to the fact that many places in the Buddhist scriptures say that when a woman wants to become a Buddha, she must first turn into a man and turn into a man. Buddha. However, there are a few Mahayana scriptures where the Buddha has been deflated. When I met the woman on the river and Mrs. Shengman, they were all married and had children, but they became Buddhas in person. They talked to the Buddha face to face, and the Buddha said: "So it is, madam, yes, there is no distinction, women can become Buddhas immediately, and there is no need to turn into a man."So don't fall on Hinayana knowledge. Now this Diamond Sutra, the Buddha has overturned the saying that women cannot become Buddhas.Buddha, can you see it with the full physical body?Have you seen the thirty-two appearances, the majestic ones, are they called Buddhas?Subhuti said: No.World Honored One.The Tathagata should not meet each other with its fullness.

Everyone wants to see the Buddha every day. If you see the Buddha come while sitting in meditation, it is definitely a demon, not a Buddha. The Buddha sits there meditating after eating, he doesn’t want to come to see you, only you can go to see him. Therefore, you must not be confused, and you should not look at the Buddha with a tangible concept.Buddha went on to say: why.Tathagata said that all phases are sufficient. That is not sufficient. It is full of names. This is what really tells you the mystery of Dharma. He said that a person who has truly attained the Dao, according to the Buddhist scriptures, once he attains the Dao, he will show a masculine appearance, with a special appearance, which is called a complete physical body.Form is the four elements of the physical body, earth, water, fire, and wind. I usually tell you this, but the real truth is that if you don’t have a complete body, you can’t have a form.

【Bodhisattvas in the world】 What's the point?People who have attained the Tao naturally have a Taoist appearance, and that Taoist appearance is not seen in this image. For example, I often tell young friends that when I was in mainland China, I saw several accomplished teachers and accomplished monks. There is a master who is known to be a bodhisattva with a flesh body, and some people call him an arhat with a flesh body. His appearance is extremely ugly, his eyes are bigger than copper bells, and he is exposed. He also wears short-sighted glasses, which is strange; Big, two big eyes, with a garlic nose, the mouth is almost bent to the ears, the teeth are as thin as corn, small.Anyway, the facial features are useless when analyzed, but they grow on his face, the more cute and dignified he looks.Walking is wobbly, but I feel very solemn. His clothes have not been changed and washed for decades, and his body is full of lice. He scratches like that when itches. Some disciples saw the lice crawling out, and he even said that killing is not allowed. He is such a weird person.

There is also a monk who hasn't bathed, face, or feet for decades. There is a tent where he sleeps, and it probably hasn't been washed for decades. There are no holes in his eyes, only dust.He sleeps in it, and he meditates in it.One day I was leaving and said goodbye to him, he was meditating in the tent.He said: I am too lazy to come out to see you off, I have something to tell you when you come here. This is my life!I have to stick my head into his tent. I am also a clean person who loves cleanliness, but under the order of the master, I have to bite the bullet and stick my head in.It turned out that there was a faint fragrance in the tent, and I couldn’t tell what kind of flower fragrance it was. There was a faint fragrance, and when I put my head in it, I didn’t want to come out. I had a feeling in my heart that people with Taoism are indeed different.

In addition, I saw a living Buddha lama in Tibet back then. He liked to drink our Chinese tea. The tea sold to the border areas by the Han people is the thickest tea. Adding butter and ghee is called butter tea. Half oil and half tea are used to drinking. It's delicious. If you're not used to drinking it, you'll spit it out at the first sip.He only has one alms bowl, which he uses for eating and drinking tea, and for entertaining guests. He has not washed it for decades, and it is extremely dirty.Sometimes when we go to see him, because he has supernatural powers, he feels that he is destined for you and thinks highly of you, so he will give you a sip of the teapot he drank. Some people are afraid of getting dirty, some people are respectful and dare not drink.Whether you are afraid of being dirty or respectful, he knows it all.You are respectful, I told you to take a sip, it is said that drinking this sip will eliminate a lot of sins. Some people are afraid of getting dirty, so they scold you, your mouth is also made of meat, and mine is also made of meat, why don't you use my bowl? This type of person, when you look closely at him, is very dignified. The dignity is not in the nose, not in the eyes, and you can't see it in the facial features. He has a Dao Qi, which is the reason.

Therefore, a person who has truly become a Buddha should not see the full body; if one looks for his way in his body, he will not be able to find it.Of course, for a person who has attained the Dao, his temperament must have changed, and his physical body must also have changed. He has his own Dao Qi, and his appearance is solemn. But even if you don’t have a complete physical body, you don’t need to think about it. This physical body still has birth and death. It is called a complete physical body, so it is called a complete physical body. This full physical body, pay attention, is the physical body.

"Subhuti, what do you mean, the Tathagata can be complete in all aspects.no.World Honored One.The Tathagata should not meet each other with its fullness. " The first rupa body is the physical body. This physical body is called the rupa body, the so-called sambhogakaya. But here comes the second question, can you look at it by looking at it?For example, if you suddenly see a Buddha standing in front of you in your eyes, this is a sign, a phenomenon. He asked Subhuti, is it possible to have a phase?Of course Subhuti said no. This issue has already been mentioned in the Diamond Sutra. It should not fall into the concept of religious idols, and should not meet the Tathagata with thirty-two encounters.what reason?

"Why.Tathagata said that all phases are sufficient. That is not sufficient. It is full of names. " The real Buddha is the one who sees the Dharmakaya, and only then does he see the real Buddha. What is Dharmakaya? What is impossible to obtain, everything has no form, the dharmakaya has no form, and there is no realm. If you are in a state, you already have something to live in, something to possess, and you cannot see your mind clearly.Only when everything is empty can we see our mind and see our nature, and only then can we see the Buddha. Our conclusions for this section are as follows: 【The twentieth verse】 "The origin of the image is not the truth, it is all based on the heart and the idle cause It can be said that the crazy people in the world tend to look in the dry piles" The origin of the image is not true. This image is all illusory and accidental existence, and it is not true. But where do the material world and images come from? All are based on the mind and appearance, the only mind is the way, the mind and matter are one, and it is the power of the mind that generates this image. You can be a madman all over the world. Buddhism originally told you not to be obsessed, not to be attached to things in the material world. Pity this group of ordinary people without wisdom in this world. Look inside the tree stump. When we meditate, we can’t think of a single thought, which is like a dry pile. There is an allusion to this dry pile, which is a poem by Zen Master Xuedou: "A Rabbit Crossing Its Body as an Ancient Goshawk Captured Alive at the First Sight The poor hound has no soul and only looks for it in the dry pile A rabbit was lying on a road. While hunting, an eagle saw a rabbit lying in the middle of the road. The eagle rushed down and took the rabbit away. The poor hunting dog has no spirituality. When hunting, the hunting dog smelled it by its nose, ran over and smelled it for a long time, looking for rabbits everywhere.I only searched in the dry pile environment, so I had to search desperately in the hollow of the dead tree roots.Zen Master Xuedou is a master of Zen. He scolded the whole group of Zen learners in the world who read gongan and huatou, like this hound, only looking for dry piles. If you are a person with great wisdom, you will be like that eagle, when the sky is bright, it will catch the rabbit up, and this realm will be empty. The hounds behind us ran as hard as we could, turning and turning, running and running, just looking for this realm, looking for an empty space!
