The original source of this series of World War II books published by Daming Wang is the Illustrated History of World War II series published by Ballantine in the 1960s.There are a total of 130 English editions published by the company, which are full of pictures and texts, and are relatively cheap paper-backed editions. Every page is packed, and there are no blank pages. Sankei Shimbun Publishing House of Japan translated it into Japanese in the 1970s, but it is not clear whether all of them have been published. Taiwan's Daming Wang Publishing Company translated the Japanese version into Chinese at about the same time, benefiting many military fans in the fifth and sixth grades.

Unfortunately, the translation quality of the Chinese version is poor, and many nouns︱especially military nouns︱are directly used in Japanese terms (example: company/regiment, brigade/battalion, squadron/company, general soldier/officer soldier, non-commissioned officer/officer, former general school/senior officer, rail-mounted boat/tracked amphibious landing vehicle), and foreign names are also translated from Japanese katakana pinyin, resulting in many strange translations (for example: Li Duo Bei Ke Heng/Little Big Horn, Bello Islandt/Bello Woods), even where there is a Japanese grammar (Example: Major General Smith/Division Commander Major General Smith, General-School Liaison Officer Lieutenant Colonel Carlson Marine Corps Liaison Officer Lieutenant Colonel Carson Marine Corps ).In this corrected version, I try to change the nouns and grammar to more correct Chinese, and fix some typos or mistranslations.
