馬家駿嘴角邊露出淒然的苦笑，輕輕的道：江南的楊柳，已抽出嫩芽了，阿秀，你獨自回去吧，以後以後可得小心，計爺爺，計爺爺不能照顧你了聲音越說越低，終於沒了聲息。
李文秀撲在他身上，叫道：計爺爺，計爺爺，你別死。
馬家駿沒回答她的問話就死了，可是李文秀心中卻已明白得很。馬家駿非常非常的怕他的師父，非但不立即逃回中原，反而跟著她來到迷宮；只要他始終扮作老人，瓦耳拉齊永遠不會認出他來，可是他終於出手，去和自己最懼怕的人動手。那全是為了她！
這十年之中，他始終如爺爺般愛護自己，其實他是個壯年人。世界上親祖父對自己的孫女，也有這般好嗎？或許有，或許沒有，她不知道。
殿上地下的兩根火把，一根早已了熄滅，另一根也快燒到盡頭。
蘇魯克忽道：真奇怪，剛才兩個漢人跟一個哈薩克人相打，我想也不想，過去一拳，就打在那哈薩克人的臉上。李文秀問道：那為甚麼？為甚麼你忽然幫漢人打哈薩克人？蘇魯克搔了搔頭，道：我不知道。隔了一會，說道：你是好人，他是壞人！
他終於承認：漢人中有做強盜的壞人，也有李英雄那樣的好人，（那個假扮老頭兒的漢人，不肯在水井中下毒，也該算好人吧？）哈薩克人中有自己那樣的好人，也有瓦耳拉齊那樣的壞人。
李文秀心想：如果當年你知道了，就不會那樣狠狠的鞭打蘇普，一切就會不同了。可是，真的會不同嗎？就算蘇普小時候跟我做好朋友，他年紀大了之後，見到了阿曼，還是會愛上她的。人的心，真太奇怪了，我不懂。
蘇魯克大聲道：瓦耳拉齊，我瞧你也活不成了，我們也不用殺你，再見了！瓦耳拉齊突然目露兇光，右手一提。李文秀知他要發射毒針，叫道：師父，別
就在這時，一個火星爆了開來，最後一個火把也熄滅了，殿堂中伸手不見五指。瓦耳拉齊就是想發毒針害人，也已取不到準頭。李文秀叫道：你們快出去，誰也別發出聲響。
蘇魯克、蘇普、車爾庫和阿曼四人互相扶持，悄悄的退出。大家知道瓦耳拉齊的毒針厲害，他雖命在頃刻，卻還能發針害人。四人退出殿堂，見李文秀沒有出來，蘇普叫道：李英雄，李英雄，快出來。李文秀答應了一聲。
瓦耳拉齊道：阿秀，你你也要去了嗎？聲音甚是淒涼。李文秀心中不忍，暗想他雖然做了許多壞事，對自己可畢竟是很好的，讓他一個人在這黑暗中等死，實在是太殘忍了，於是坐了下來，說道：師父，我在這裏陪你。
蘇普在外面又叫了幾聲。李文秀大聲道：你們先出去吧，我等一會出來。蘇普叫道：這人很凶惡的，李英雄，你可得小心了。李文秀不再回答。
阿曼道：你怎麼老是叫她李英雄，不叫李姑娘？蘇普奇道：李姑娘，她是女子嗎？阿曼道：你是裝傻，還是真的看不出來？蘇普道：我裝甚麼傻？他他武功這樣好，怎麼會是女子？
阿曼道：那天大風雪的晚上，在計老人的家裏，她奪了我做女奴，後來又放了我還你。那時候我就知道她是女子了。蘇普拍手道：啊，是了。如果她是男人，怎肯放了像你這樣美麗的女奴？阿曼臉上微微一紅，道：不是的。那時候我見到了她瞧著你的眼色，就知道她是姑娘。天下那會有一個男子，用這樣的眼光痴痴的瞧著你！
蘇普搔了搔頭，傻笑道：我可一點也沒瞧出來。阿曼歡暢地笑了，笑得真像一朵花。她知道蘇普的眼光一直停在自己身上，便有一萬個姑娘痴情地瞧著他，他也永不會知道。
殿堂中一片漆黑，李文秀和瓦耳拉齊誰也見不到誰。李文秀坐在師父身畔，在萬籟俱寂之中，聽到蘇普和阿曼的嬉笑聲漸漸遠去，聽到四個人的腳步聲漸漸遠去。
殿堂裏只賸下了李文秀，陪著垂死的瓦耳拉齊，還有，計爺爺的屍身。
瓦耳拉齊又問：剛才我叫你出去，你為甚麼不聽話？要是你出去了唉。
李文秀輕輕的道：師父，你得不到心愛的人，就將她殺死。我得不到心愛的人，卻不忍心讓他給人殺了。
瓦耳拉齊冷笑了一聲，道：原來是這樣。沉默半晌，嘆道：你們漢人真是奇怪。有馬家駿那樣忘恩負義、殺害師父的惡棍，有霍元龍、陳達海他們那樣殺人不眨眼的強盜，也有你這樣心地仁善的姑娘。
李文秀問道：師父，陳達海那強盜怎樣了？我們一路追蹤他，卻在雪地裏看到了兩個人的腳印。另一個是你的嗎？瓦耳拉齊道：不錯，是我的。自從我給馬家駿這逆徒打了毒針之後，身子衰弱，十多年來在山洞裏養傷，只道這一生就此完了，想不到竟會有你來救我，給我拔去了毒針。我傷愈之後，半夜裏時常去鐵延部的帳蓬外窺探，我要殺了車爾庫，殺了驅逐我的族長。只是為了你，我才沒在水井裏下毒。那天大風雪的晚上，我守在你屋子外，見到你拿住了陳達海，聽到你們發現了迷宮的地圖。陳達海一逃走，我就跟在他後面，一直跟進了迷宮。我在他後腦上一拳，打暈了他，把他關在迷宮裏，前天下午，我從他懷裏拿了那幅手帕地圖出來，抽去了十來根毛線，放回他懷裏，再蒙了他眼睛，綁他在馬背之上，趕他遠遠的去了。
李文秀想不到這個性子殘酷的人居然肯饒人性命，問道：你為甚麼要抽去地圖上的毛線？瓦耳拉齊乾笑數聲，十分得意：他不知道我抽去了毛線的。地圖中少了十幾根線，這迷宮再也找不到了。這惡強盜，他定要去會齊了其餘的盜夥，依照地圖又來找尋迷宮。他們就要在大沙漠中兜來兜去，永遠回不去草原去。這批惡強盜一個個的要在沙漠中渴死，一直到死，還是想來迷宮發財，哈哈，嘿嘿，有趣，有趣！
想到一群人在烈火烤炙之下，在數百里內沒一滴水的大沙漠上不斷兜圈子的可怖情景，李文秀忍不住低低的呼了一聲。這群強盜是殺害她父母的大仇人，但如此遭受酷報，卻不由得為他們難受。要是她能有機會遇上了，會不會對他們說：這張地圖是不對的？
