Yangxinhou Mansion in the north of Bianjing Outer City is located on the bank of Wuzhang River, covering an area of more than 20 mu.The house given to Tian Liewu by Emperor Shaosheng in the sixth year was originally the house of Wang Zhongzheng, the great eunuch of the Xining Dynasty. The front house and the back garden are also famous garden houses in Bianjing. At that time, Wang Zhongzheng imitated the layout of Wang Gongchen's famous garden in Luoyang, drawing water from the Wuzhang River, dug a stream artificially, and flowed into the river after surrounding the garden for a week, known as Xiaohuanxi. He also imitated the Miaoshuai garden in Huicaofang, Luoyang, and spent great efforts to move a 100-foot-high horse chestnut and plant it in the garden, and planted more than ten thousand poles of bamboo in the garden, which caused a sensation in Bianjing for a while. He never thought that the ten thousand poles of green bamboos are finally as large as Miao Shuai's garden, but this garden house has changed owners.

What's even more ironic is that the new owner didn't have any love for the thousands of green bamboos. Instead, he thought they were in the way. After moving from the old house in Tianwangji, it took another month to have these bamboos chopped down. It took a lot of effort to level the land under the horse chestnut tree, and repair the martial arts field, pavilions, and pavilions. What harvested into a stream and released into a pool, what was old and natural, all disappeared. It's not that Yangxin Hou Tianliewu didn't know that he was cooking cranes and burning pianos, but he didn't care whether others laughed or regretted it.Tian Liewu's idea is very simple, the house should be lived comfortably for oneself, not for others to look good on.On the other hand, the fact is that no matter what he does to spoil the scenery, the bank of the Wuzhang River where Yangxinhou's Mansion is located is almost the place where the upstarts of the Shaosheng Dynasty lived. In addition to Yangxinhou's mansion, Yang Shifang, Marquis of Wucheng, Hu Yanzhong, Marquis of Loufan, and Shouyi Gongren Duobaozhong, the current minister of Taipusi, all have their mansions here.

Although these people are only military officers, and the three Marquis Yang, Tian, and Huyan are all just the chief guards of Dianban Zhiwei. After all, he couldn't trust the Xixia people, and he didn't want him to be banned for a long time, so he was given such a job to support him.Now everyone knows that although the Ma administration is a military plan, but above the Taifu Temple, there are not only the Shufu and the Ministry of War, but even the Ministry of Households and the Sinong Temple can stretch their hands in, which is not good to say One point, as far as the power of Taipu Temple is concerned, it can also go to Qijiyuan and Tiansijian to raise royal horses for the emperor. However, these did not affect the status of these people at all.Because everyone knows that these few people are the most trusted military officials who have made the contribution of protecting King Qin.Although the emperor has not yet been in charge of the government, military and state affairs are still decided by the empress dowager who is behind the curtain, but the emperor has grown up day by day.

Therefore, no matter how much Tian Liewu and the others want to be clean and self-respecting, it is impossible to completely turn those who have the mentality of living with rare goods, those who seek fame and fortune, and all kinds of people who have encountered obstacles elsewhere, to turn to them. The vertical and horizontal people who look for them to sell themselves are completely turned away. This day was the twenty-fourth day of the first lunar month in the seventh year of Shaosheng. In less than one afternoon, Yangxin Hou Tianliewu received four famous assassins and four eloquent proposals.

Even though he has been used to seeing many people who talk about things without knowing what they are talking about over the years, Tian Liewu still does not dare to underestimate the scholars in the world.Regarding his current status and status, Tian Liewu always thinks that he has become rich suddenly. This is not because he is humble, but because he is indeed always apprehensive and somewhat inferior.Tian Liewu didn't have any truly eminent figures in his ancestors, so Tian Liewu insisted in his heart that there are too many people who are better than him in terms of ancestor Yin, fate, and talent. Therefore, not only can he not be complacent, but he is always cautious.Tian Liewu believed that he had some merits, which earned him the trust of the empress dowager and the emperor, that is, he was prudent and cautious in his handling of affairs, polite and courteous in dealing with others, and loyal to the emperor. Therefore, he maintained these merits of himself even more, even with such qualities, sometimes it would bring him a lot of trouble.

Such as these policies and their masters. No matter how many absurd and ridiculous strategies he has seen, Tian Liewu has demanded himself for several years, carefully read every strategy and theory delivered to his door, and if he thinks there is something to be admired, he will take it Ask Li Dunmin or Tang Kang, who he thinks are knowledgeable, for advice. If they agree, he will present these strategies to the little emperor or relay them to the emperor when it is convenient for him. Although there may be only one policy theory worth letting the emperor know in a year, it will also bring him unexpected troubles.Cheng Yi was no longer the only teacher of the emperor. According to the tradition of the Song Dynasty, the governors of the two prefectures, as well as the scholars of the pavilion, would take turns to give lectures to the emperor. This is the so-called Jingyan. The little emperor is smart and eager to learn. In this regard, he has completely inherited these strategies and theories presented by the late emperor, Tian Liewu Jin. After hearing some of the opinions and things, the little emperor once even used them to ask the prime minister who was giving a lecture at a sutra banquet. Gongdu is a very shrewd person. He kept his face in front of the little emperor, but he immediately became suspicious, and turned around and traced Tian Liewu all the way.

Tian Liewu didn't know, because the prime ministers of the two governments knew that he was cautious and would not engage in heresy, so they didn't pursue him any further, and just asked him to go to the political affairs hall for a talk.Of course, the prime ministers could not say that Tian Liewu could not recommend talents to the emperor, nor could they tell him not to talk nonsense in front of the emperor. I just wish he could be more careful Therefore, Tian Liewu didn't know at all that the princes of the two governments actually hoped that he would be more responsible, but instead believed it, and was more attentive and cautious about this matter. After that, the princes of the two governments, at least on the surface, pretended that this incident had never happened.

Therefore, Yangxin Hou Tianliewu didn't even know that he had offended the two governments unknowingly. The four policy theories received that day seemed, as usual, to be full of pedantic rhetoric. The first article talks about how to restore chariot warfare and use chariots to overcome cavalry; the second article presents ten clever strategies for annexing Korea; the third article turns to the south and talks about the strategy of planning Dali Tian Liewu frowned, barely finished reading these three strategies, picked up the fourth one, glanced at it briefly, and couldn't help shaking his head. This one is even more clichéd, and it's a strategy for capturing Yanyun!

Over the past few years, there have been so many people who have submitted letters to Tian Liewu and talked about restoring Yanyun, that Tian Liewu can't remember how many people there are, maybe there are nearly a hundred people! Most of these so-called leveling strategies are nothing more than random opinions, and Tian Liewu, who is old in the army, can see the innocence in them at a glance. However, it is not only these unsatisfactory scholars who can only talk big and never forget to restore Yanyun. Yang Shifang, Marquis of Wucheng, Tang Kang, and even Li Dunmin were among the people who made friends with Tian Liewu, and there were many people who were dissatisfied with Sima Xianggong and Liao.In particular, Yang Shifang, Marquis of Wucheng, would talk to him about Li Guang, Cheng Bushi, the famous generals of the Han Dynasty, and the failure of Yongxi's Northern Expedition every time he drank a few more drinks with Tian Liewu.

In this matter, deep down in Tian Liewu's heart, he was actually at odds. He himself was born in the army, and he has a yearning from the bottom of his heart for going out to attack the Hu, calming down the country. But on the other hand, Tian Liewu, like ordinary Bianjing citizens, did not regard the Khitan people as life and death enemies. He did not have the hatred, humiliation, or ambition of Yang Shifang, Tang Kang, and Li Dunmin. For Tian Liewu, the Liao Kingdom is different from Xixia. The Xixia people continued to invade the Song Dynasty, and his relatives died in the war with Xixia. Liao Kingdom, in his memory, has always lived in peace with the Song Dynasty. .

After defeating Xixia, there will be no side affairs, and it is time for the common people to live a good life! Tian Liewu vaguely felt this way in his heart. However, this view is also inconsistent with the citizens of Bianjing.Although the ordinary citizens of Bianjing do not really hate the Khitan people, nor do they really feel humiliated, their attitudes are always susceptible to influence. If the scholars in Baishuitan say that it is a great shame not to restore Yanyun, In a few days, they will be impassioned to believe that it is a shame.Because war is always so out of reach for them, just like watching a play. Tian Liewu felt that his thoughts might have arisen unconsciously when he was leading troops in Shaanxi. Besides, since it is something both Junshi and Ziming support, it always makes sense. But he did not tell Yang Shifang or Tang Kang and Li Dunmin about his doubts.Because he knew that there would be no results in doing so, and he would never know who was right and who was wrong.Their attitude has always been unquestionable, and Tian Liewu knows very well that if he insists on a different stand, he may lose these friends immediately. Anyway, this kind of thing is not something that Tian Liewu can decide, he doesn't want to spend too much time on this kind of thing. Tian Liewu was thinking, just when he felt that he would still get nothing today, he read a line. Sixth, it is called broken artillery Although he didn't have the same feeling for restoring Yanyun, Tian Liewu was no less interested than anyone else in how to deal with the Liao army's use of artillery in battle. In the past, the biggest problem faced by generals of the Song Army was how to defeat cavalry with steps. But since Yelv Chongge won the great victory of the Ili River, the new problem that has been replaced is how the infantry phalanx will deal with the artillery and cavalry of the Liao army. The advisers and generals of the Song Dynasty proposed many solutions, but they held their own opinions on this issue and debated endlessly. As for the facts, no one knows the answer without actual combat tests.Of course Tian Liewu also has his own ideas, but his ideas are not recognized by the Secret Academy, the Ministry of War, and the Sanya. It's not that there are no people who support him. For example, Zhang Zhifu agrees with his ideas, and Zhang Zhifu can be said to be the leading general in the Western Army after the death of such veterans as Zhong Er and Liu Changzuo. However, Zhang Zhifu is not an ordinary military officer. , He was born in Shengyuan, and after all, he is also a serious scholar, and he is highly valued by Shi Yue and Fan Chunren, so after Shaosheng, he changed his literary resources, and now he is a transshipment envoy on Hedong Road. Seeing that it is Siqing and Shilang, even if he enters the two mansions, it may not be impossible, but because of this, his influence in the army has been greatly weakened in the past few years. Therefore, the support of Zhang Yu can only be regarded as a kind of psychological comfort. But Tian Liewu's ideas are not taken seriously, which is actually a matter of course.Because his point of view almost seems negative, even clumsy. Tian Liewu believes that the application of artillery to field battles actually puts forward higher requirements for the discipline and sense of honor of the army. Therefore, there is no good way except to make the forbidden army more disciplined. His point of view is considered to be tantamount to not saying. However, Tian Liewu is not aimless. The reorganization of the Forbidden Army during the Xining period did strengthen the discipline and honor of the army, especially for the Western Army, and the effect was remarkable. For example, before the reorganization of Xining, the archers of the Song Army had to pay a reward before each salvo. Once the reward was not paid in time, the soldiers might disperse at any time. This is the ills left by the arrogant soldiers of the Five Dynasties. At the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic, even Emperor Taizong was helpless. One of the important reasons for his failure in the first Northern Expedition was that the rewards after the capture of the Northern Han Dynasty failed. timely release. These ills have undergone slow changes over several dynasties. After the reorganization of Xining, because of the martial arts school, the festival level system, the military judges of Weiwei Temple, and the test of war, the Western Army has actually undergone a radical change. However, this kind of change would not have been easily successful without the influence of Han Qi and Fan Zhongyan on the Western Army during the Renzong Dynasty, and the continuous war with the Xixia people. In this regard, the Heshuo Forbidden Army is in stark contrast.Having also experienced reorganization, he couldn't find much sense of honor in the Heshuo Forbidden Army. They don't know what to fight for, and they don't have strict discipline. No matter how many ways such an army can come up with, when the artillery bombards their heads, not to mention maintaining their formation, it is only a matter of time before they collapse. Even the Western Army must have stricter military law constraints. Artillery is completely different from bows and arrows. The dense rain of arrows looks scary, but in front of the tight infantry phalanx, the damage caused is limited. The artillery will fall directly in the middle of the phalanx, and every explosion will cause considerable casualties. Therefore, Tian Liewu thinks that things are actually very simple. In the past, soldiers were required to remain as still as a mountain in front of dense arrows and stones, and maintain their formation until the enemy wavered first. Today, soldiers are required to do this in front of artillery. But everyone is afraid of death. If soldiers can be inspired by integrity and etiquette, they will naturally not be afraid of death, which is more useful than rewarding money. But this kind of thing is difficult to rely on, so strict training, strict military law, and generous rewards are all necessary. But most people think that strict military law is just a cliché. Many people have seen the power of artillery, so they think in their hearts that the military discipline required by Tian Liewu is impossible.Everyone thinks that the Western Army is good enough, and it is impossible to ask for more. For the Heshuo Forbidden Army, they even had no hope. There are some obvious facts that are always easily overlooked.Since the Liao people already had artillery, sooner or later it would fall to the Song army. Therefore, Tian Liewu thought that instead of thinking about how to deal with the artillery of the Liao army, it would be better to say that he had to learn how to be bombarded. Moreover, people seem to have forgotten that the Western Army has not fought a battle for more than ten years. To Tian Liewu's surprise, the strategy in his hand was also aware of this. This person listed several ways to deal with the artillery of the Liao Army, the first of which was discipline, and other things such as the impermanence of soldiers and the establishment of additional guard camps, all of which were insightful and hit the point. He hastily found out the famous assassin sent along with Ce Lun, but it was a strange name Yongfeng Zhang Shuye. Tian Liewu thought for a while, and finally confirmed that he had never heard of Zhang Shuye's name before. He was flipping through the famous thorn in his hand, and was about to ask the housekeeper to ask about this person's background, when he suddenly heard a rush of people outside. With the sound of footsteps, he stood up, and saw a servant trotting outside his warm pavilion. Seeing Tian Liewu, he quickly stood still with his arms crossed, and said: "Master, the Marquis of Wucheng is here." Shouldn't he be on duty? Before Tian Liewu could finish his sentence, he saw Yang Shifang strode in. He hurriedly stepped forward, bowed, and asked with a smile: "Brother, how come?" Since Shaosheng, Yang Shifang and Tian Liewu have been in charge of the guards and accompanied the emperor. They have a close relationship and are incomparable to others.Yang Shifang was familiar with each other in the Tianfu, so he sat down by himself, glanced at the famous thorns and theories on the case, and said with a smile: You are considered a scholar, and you still have the heart to read these. Do you know that Tang Kangshi is back? ah?Tian Liewu knew that Yang Shifang was usually unsmiling, and seeing his expression, he knew something must be up, so he hurriedly asked: When will he come back, can the negotiation be concluded? The talk is done.Yang Shifang laughed, but just now he was summoned at Xiaodongmen, and Tang Kangshi urged Chen Liao in front of the Empress Dowager to go south! What?Tian Liewu was stunned for a moment. This is done Sima Xianggong also refused to believe it.Yang Shifang's expression was completely elated, but Tang Kangshi was also a cautious person, he was not 120% sure, how dare he make such an assertion in front of the Empress Dowager?Could it be that the official has done too much?He was very happy, while talking, he saw the famous thorn in Tian Liewu's hand again, he smiled and said: How about it?What talents are you looking for? Tian Liewu didn't think about it at all, he handed the famous stab to Yang Shifang, and said: Brother, have you heard of this person? Uncle Zhang!Yang Shifang took the name thorn, Fang glanced at it, and then laughed: "Old Tian, you don't even recognize this person?" Tian Liewu was taken aback again, is he famous? That's not true, but he was famous in his ancestors.Yang Shifang smiled and said: He is the great-grandson of Zhang Shizhong in the Zhenzong Dynasty, because Zuyin served as an officer in Lanzhou and joined the army, he has not been promoted. This is the time to grind to the end of the year, and it's finally time for a promotion, and he came to Beijing to face the saint. Tian Liewu didn't know who Zhang Shizhong was in the Zhenzong Dynasty, he only said: So the eldest brother recognized him. Of course I recognize it.This Zhang Shuye is worthy of being the queen of the generals, and his archery skills are not inferior to yours. It's a pity that he was born a few years later. When he went to Lanzhou to be an official, Lanzhou was already safe and sound, otherwise he might even be the magistrate now. After Yang Shifang finished speaking, he smiled and said, "You don't need to recommend this person. There are many old family members, relatives and friends in his family. Don't worry about it. Let's go and follow me to Tang Kang." After he finished speaking, he got up and went out without waiting for Tian Liewu to agree.Tian Liewu hurriedly called his servants to prepare their horses, and hurriedly followed them out. Yangxinhou's mansion is not close to Tang's mansion, and the two of them didn't bring a guard of honor. They rode lightly and simply, and when they arrived at Tang's mansion, they handed over their famous stabs, but unexpectedly they were all in vain.Yang Shifang originally made an appointment with Tang Kang in advance, but after Tang Kang returned home, he didn't even have time to change his clothes, so he was called away by the prime minister's mansion. Tang Kang ordered someone to report to Yang's mansion, and Yang Shifang would not But when they went to Tianfu, they ran out of time, and the two of them were so tired that they made a trip in vain. That's all for Tian Liewu, Yang Shifang came here in high spirits, and came back in disappointment, which was extremely disappointing, but no matter how close he was, he would never dare to make mistakes, so he had to drag Tian Liewu to Hejialou for a drink . The two of them never imagined that although their trip was for nothing, Tang Kang was not having a good time at this time, and was being scolded by Prime Minister You. How can you be so rash? It's just ridiculous, stupid! You went to Liao, and your brain burned?Want to make meritorious deeds and want to go crazy? !Shi Yue sat in a black lacquered bamboo chair with a livid face, staring at Tang Kang standing in front of him with his head bowed and hands crossed, and lost his temper. Tang Kang had never seen Shi Yue lose his temper like this, and he didn't dare to say a word. There was no one else in the room, and no one could persuade him, so he could only be scolded with a blushing face. What on earth are you trying to do? I, Tang Kang, didn't react for a while. I don't know if Shi Yue really asked him, or he was still scolding him. After a murmur, he quietly raised his eyes to look at Shi Yue's expression. Seeing that his face seemed to have softened a little, he returned. Continued: I really thought that the Liao people were going south Then you dare to say it in front of the Empress Dowager?Shi Yue's anger instantly rose again, can't you report to the two governments first? Yes, I got it wrong.Tang Kang's face turned even redder. Before being summoned, he originally didn't intend to talk about it, but unexpectedly when the Empress Dowager asked, he just blurted it out. The trees are beautiful in the forest, but the wind will destroy them.Shi Yue said these eight words emphatically, and then shook his head, "Kang Shi, Kang Shi, although you are smart, you must understand that even though you are in the limelight for a while, if someone makes a frivolous comment, you will erase it." These two words are extremely difficult! Tang Kang's heart shuddered, and he couldn't help feeling great regret. He naturally knows the word frivolity, whether it is light or not, and whether it is serious or not. If he doesn't want to enter the two mansions, it's okay, but if he wants to be a public minister one day, if he sticks to these two words, he may not be able to live forever. There will be no chance. He was worrying about gains and losses, and heard Shi Yue ask in a deep voice: Do you really think that Xiao Xi will be pushed aside by Yelvxin and Xiao Lan? yes. When Tang Kang saw that Shi Yue asked something serious, he hurriedly collected his mood and replied: Although Xiao Xi is an old official in the hidden residence of the Liao Lord, once Xiao Youdan dies, the rabbit will die and the fox will be sad. I'm afraid that these old officials will put everyone in danger.Liao Kingdom attaches great importance to martial arts, Yeluxin's prestige in Liao Kingdom is second only to Xiao Youdan, if Xiao Alu is taken as the Northern Privy Envoy, after all he is a veteran minister, maybe he can still suppress him. However, Lord Liao transferred Xiao Alu, who was originally a member of the Northern Privy Council, to serve as the Southern Privy Council envoy, but also transferred Yeluxin to the Central Committee, his intentions were clear at a glance. It was simply because Xiao Youdan had just died, and he wanted to appease the peace faction in the country, so he had no choice but to let Xiao Xi put on a facade. Shi Yue nodded, then frowned and asked: Then you can be sure that Yelvxin will definitely beat Xiao Lan? I was in Liao Kingdom, and I didn't see Yelvxin, but I did meet Xiao Lan.Speaking of these things, Tang Kang gradually became calm and calm. I also read the report of the staff office, but I'm afraid they made a mistake this time. Xiao Lan is too smart to really go against Liao Lord's will.As for Lord Liao, I took the risk to deliberately test it out during the banquet. The Liao Kingdom was originally aggressive. Obviously, the Lord Liao was dissatisfied with the situation of the two countries. Domestic troubles, but especially tolerant Of course not.Shi Yue couldn't help but sighed, when he put Xiao Youdan under house arrest, he had already regarded this person as useless.Xiao Youdan's death alone, what's the big deal in Liao Kingdom? What is it to kill some nobles?Yeluxin, who is in charge of the Jiata tune, enters the heart of Sima Zhao, who is in charge of the center! So Tang Kang listened to Shi Yue's tone, clearly agreeing with his conclusion, and couldn't help being surprised and delighted. But Shi Yue's tone is still heavy, if he wants to make peace, you lose his face, he doesn't need to be tolerant, lose his temper, just ask the court to apologize to him, and then he forgives, the court has something to ask him, it's justified For me, it will not damage the friendship between the two countries. He is uncharacteristically graceful, that must be the person behind the plot Shi Yue almost smiled helplessly, it seems that there is no way to change it. Seeing Shi Yue's expression, Tang Kang was very puzzled, and couldn't help saying: If you want to fight, you can fight, why should you be afraid?Da Song is no better than it was five years ago. Shi Yue glanced at him, what's the benefit of fighting the Liao Kingdom? You can regain Youji, and you will be ashamed.Tang Kang didn't even think about it, and immediately replied. What's the use of recovering Youji?Shi Yue's tone became indifferent, regaining Youji was nothing more than defending the north, in exchange for peace in the territory, Song and Liao had a good relationship for a hundred years, and the territory was also very peaceful.Don't say that the Liao Kingdom is now prosperous, and the battle is together, and the victory or defeat is unpredictable. Tang Kang was stunned for a moment. If these remarks came from Sima Guang's mouth, he would not be surprised at all, but it was beyond his expectation that it came from Shi Yue's mouth. He was stunned for a long time, and then he remembered to retort: But whoever owns the secluded thistle, the initiative of peace will be in whose hands.Besides, the safety of Yu Jingshi is also very important. Today, the walls of the capital are strong and powerful, with tens of thousands of soldiers stationed in Daming and Handan. There are many fortified cities, the advantages of artillery, and the natural danger of the Yellow River. Bianjing can be said to be as solid as gold.In time, when the country's financial resources are more abundant, I will persuade the imperial court to rebuild Taiyuan City, and build fortresses in the Taihang Zhuxing, stationed with artillery and elite soldiers. Who said that the initiative for peace lies in the hands of others? Shi Yue's disapproving expression and the same rhetoric as the old party made it difficult for Tang Kang to accept for a while that the contrast with what Shi Yue usually said was too great. But these words are not easy to refute. Song and Liao fought, and Song lost, and the consequences were disastrous.Even if you win, it may not be of any benefit. It is easy for us to seize the old place of Youji. If the Liao Kingdom collapses and the heroes of the northern part of the country rise up together, it will be fine when they fight each other. In a hundred years, when the grassland is unified, the hero will come out. At that time, the country will still be without peace day.How can this compare to a Liao Kingdom that is willing to live in peace with us?Rather than dealing with those barbarians, it is better to have a Liao country in the north, and even when they want to put down the barbarian rebellion, we can help them and be a favor. It's not that you don't know the four words "lips dead, teeth cold", why don't you think about it, although the Liao Kingdom is my great enemy of the Song Dynasty, it is also the lips of the Song Dynasty? Besides, I still have a lot to do.At this time, Shi Yue was no longer just talking to Tang Kang, but more like venting his emotions. The judicial system of this dynasty, if it is above the state level, is the first in ancient and modern times, and no dynasty or generation can be compared. However, at the county level, there are many malpractices, not even in the Han and Tang Dynasties. The imperial court had just recovered its breath, and after several years of discussions with Sima Junshi, Wang Jiefu, and Fan Yaofu, I finally made up my mind that it would take five to ten years to resolve this matter.Everything is empty talk. When the war is over, I don't know what the situation will be In fact, what Shi Yue wanted to do was far more than that. The day before, he discussed with Fan Chunren how to reform Yushitai again to strengthen the punishment of corruption; he also discussed with Wang Anshi a plan to further support overseas princes; he even confidently believed that there was a way to promote local gentry, Supervision and participation in government affairs at the county level; he also needs more money from the treasury to expand the government's public services, such as expanding the scale of medical science in each county, and ensuring that the medical officials have read a few lines of "Su Wen", " Difficulties In short, there is too much to do.Moreover, it is much more important than recovering Yanyun. But once the war starts, these things will either be delayed, or may never have the chance to be done. At this time, Shi Yue had already forgotten that he was once like Tang Kang back then, and his goal was to regain Yanyun! For more than 20 years, he has drifted between the old and the new parties, and even formed the so-called Shi party. He changed Sima Guang and Wang Anshi, and at the same time, he was influenced and changed by them without knowing it.At least, in terms of strategic contraction and concentrating on internal affairs, he was originally only a strategic compromise, but now, he has sincerely supported it. On the surface, he kept a distance from Sima Guang's conservatism about the compromise of the Liao Kingdom, but Shi Yue knew in his heart that this was just a gesture, a gesture that would help him ease the relationship with his opponents! In fact, if he resolutely opposed it, with his current status, how could Sima Guang act arbitrarily? In his heart, he was on Sima Guang's side. That's why he was so excited. He lost his temper with Tang Kang, firstly because Tang Kang did not act prudently, but more importantly, because he knew that Tang Kang's judgment was correct. Facts are irreversible. The policy of strategic retrenchment, which he implicitly supported, is over. It was a major setback.Shi Yue knew that Tang Kang would never understand him in this matter. He will not be persuaded by him. However, at this moment, he had no time to care about Tang Kang. What he was thinking about was, what were Sima Guang and Wang Anshi thinking now? Shi Yue never expected that it would be hard to get out of the shadow of Xining's last few years. Seeing that the country's finances began to be abundant, the borders were peaceful, and the various political forces in the government and the opposition were at peace, and they even seemed to be working together. Gradually, there are good results, and I just felt relieved psychologically, and I am waiting to flex my muscles and continue to do some things that I want to do but can't do in the future. bad news. With the news brought back by Tang Kang and the secret report of the staff hall, the threat of Liao became more and more real.Just at such an inexplicable timing. Originally, Shi Yue didn't take it seriously because Xiao Youdan was there! Although Xiao Youdan was a difficult opponent to deal with, since the last crisis between Liao and Song Dynasties, Shi Yue knew in his heart that as long as Xiao Youdan was around, it would be impossible for the Liao Kingdom to really invade the south. However, at this moment, the wise men who maintained the sanity of the Lord Liao and his ambitious generals and guided Khitan in the right direction suddenly disappeared. This incident was so sudden that after Shi Yue learned of Xiao Youdan's bad deeds, he once suggested to Sima Guang and Wang Anshi to publicly publicize that Xiao Youdan was the one most feared by Song Dynasty at an appropriate time, so as to help Xiao Youdan. However, he never expected that while Sima Guang and Wang Anshi were still hesitating, Xiao Youdan had already become a victim of the sword. As if this basin of cold water was not enough ice, Shi Yue received another bad news on the 25th day of the first month of the seventh year of Shaosheng, the second day when Tang Kang was in court and publicized that the Liao Kingdom would invade the south. Wang Anshi passed away the night before! For Shi Yue, this incident can be said to be sudden or not. From what he knew, Wang Anshi should have been dead six or seven years ago, and so was Sima Guang. However, when these two people did not die in the year when they should have died, and lived for another six or seven years, Shi Yue had an illusion, who said that they could not live like Wen Yanbo who passed away a few years ago? Last ninety years old? But just when Shi Yue began to think so, Wang Anshi died suddenly. In the morning, Wang Anshi participated in Xiaodongmen's summoning of Tang Kang without any warning. After returning home, everything was as usual, going to bed on time, and never waking up again. After receiving Wang Anshi's funeral report, Shi Yue refused to believe it for a while. When Fan Chunren pulled him to sue the Empress Dowager Gao, he was still in a daze and didn't know what he was doing. He didn't realize that Wang Anshi was really dead until he went to Shizhong's mansion according to the order and saw Wang Anshi's body with his own eyes. Even now, another day has passed, Shi Yue is still very strange about his own reaction. Because he and Wang Anshi did not actually have any deep friendship. On the contrary, the two were still political opponents in many cases. He didn't know why he was acting abnormally as usual. Is it because he feels that a person like Wang Anshi shouldn't have such an extremely ordinary way of death? No, Shi Yue knew in his heart that such a death was always a luxury for Wang Anshi. Then, there was only one reason Shi Yue could find for himself. Just as he was worried that the Liao Congress would lose control if Xiao Youdan died, he also intuitively realized that if Wang Anshi died, the New Party would also lose control. Regardless of whether this is the real reason or not, Shi Yue allowed himself to accept this explanation. Lu Huiqing, who was sentenced to Taiyuan Mansion, had been in that poor village on Hedong Road for eight full years.Wang Anshi once hoped to transfer him to a better place, but was rejected by Sima Guang. A person who could meet Lu Huiqing's status, was far enough away from Bianjing, was remote and poor, and at the same time could guarantee that nothing would happen to Lu Huiqing. , such a place, and only Taiyuan Prefecture.Shi Yue knew this well.A person like Lu Huiqing can make military achievements if he is left on the border, and he can suppress the barbarians when he is rushed to the south. If he was given such an opportunity, then Sima Guang and Wang Anshi would be really hard to refuse if Wang Anshi, who missed his old relationship, interceded.Since it's cooperation, we can't keep thinking about old suspicions, but this old suspicion is indeed a thorn in my heart that cannot be removed. Shi Yue was clear in his heart, and he believed that Sima Guang must also know that in the past eight years, Lu Huiqing had managed Taiyuan in an orderly manner. If it were someone else, he would have already had a good reputation, many recommendations, and was called to the capital for reuse. As a matter of fact, Taiyuan Mansion has already had two successive general judges who have been promoted with outstanding performance. This is another method used by Sima Guang to publicize that the achievements of the Taiyuan Mansion are the result of those two general judges, and Jianguo Gong only retired in Taiyuan Mansion. It's a pity that Lu Huiqing herself may not be willing to live in Taiyuan for the elderly. Pu Zongmeng, Zeng Xiaokuan and other famous ministers of the New Party passed away one after another, and Zhang Dun and Zeng Bu seemed to have separated themselves from the New Party. Now in the imperial court, people are regarded as the New Party, and they themselves admit that they are the ministers of the New Party. In fact, there is only Xu Jiang, the deputy envoy of the Privy Council. But Xu Jiang's personal charm cannot be compared with Lu Huiqing at all.And under the great policy of helping each other, Cai Que, another famous minister of the New Party who was transferred back to the mainland to serve as the transfer envoy of Jiangnan Road, because he had been overseas for a long time, he failed to enter the center after returning to China, and his influence was not comparable to that of the past. Therefore, Shi Yue's worries are by no means groundless. If Wang Anshi died and some officials in the new party turned to support Lu Huiqing, then the situation since Shaosheng would no longer exist. Although on the surface, the New Party can't make any big waves, with the Empress Dowager Gao hanging down the curtain, the New Party can be said to be one of the chief officials of the temple supervisors of the six academic academies of the two governments, and it has almost been completely unable to influence court decision. But Shi Yue knew the truth in his heart. In the past seven years, the power of the so-called new party has not weakened or disintegrated, but has gradually stabilized, faintly looking more like a real political party. First of all, as a compromise with Wang Anshi, in the past seven years, most of the people recommended by Wang Anshi have been appointed accordingly. Now in the Song Dynasty, at least 20% to 30% of the magistrates and county magistrates belong to the new party camp. Or those who sympathize with and support the policies of the new party; this proportion also accounts for about 20% among officials at the Lu level, and at least 20% among officials below the Minister and Shaoqing. And this so-called new party only refers to those who absolutely support Wang Anshi politically, but since Shaosheng, there have been many people, and even Shi Yue can't tell whether they are the new party or not. From officials like Han Wei and Han Zhongyan, to Zhang Dun, Li Qingchen, Zeng Bu, Zhang Shangying, and local people like Chen Yuanfeng, whether these people are the new party depends entirely on your definition of the new party. What. If it is considered that the New Party is only a political force subordinate to Wang Anshi, then these people can be excluded from the New Party. But if the new party is defined by its political views, then these people can still be regarded as an out-and-out new party.Even Zeng Bu, Zhang Shangying, and Shi Yue can be sure that they belong to his own faction, but when it comes to their views, they still belong to the New Party. What did you say?
