Chapter 8 Book Eight: Spells and Mana

Behind Chen Guoqi's mystery 倪匡 4717Words 2023-02-05
After Chen Guoqi entered the world of Esoteric Buddhism, his magic power increased sharply. He still followed his wish in his early years, and through his own mastery of abilities, he could solve disasters for all living beings. Even if there is no repeated introduction by the media, the name of Guru Chen will naturally be widely known, and more people will naturally come to seek him. During the conversation with me, Master Chen said a very interesting sentence. The topic is that a family member of a patient came to beg him and told him about his illness.I said: This disease is too strange, can a doctor cure it?Master Chen naturally said: If the doctor can heal, people will not come to me

This statement sounds understated and slightly conceited, but it speaks just about him, mastering supernatural powers. The Doctor's powers, being biological powers, at best, draw upon natural forces without involving supernatural forces. (See above for a breakdown of the three forces.) All the things that can be solved by biological power or natural power, generally, the current western medicine can deal with it. Although western medicine is not very good at treating colds, if you have a cold, you don't have to fight to find Master Chen. ? Chen Guoqi is a Buddhist, there is no doubt about it, just look at some of his Buddhist works, you can be sure.He is different from ordinary Buddhists, he is a person from outside the country, and at the same time, he is a person who has joined the world. He does not live in seclusion in ancient temples in the mountains, but sets up Buddhist altars in the downtown area.

He not only explained the principles of Buddhism to save all living beings in principle, but also took specific actions to eliminate disasters and catastrophes for all living beings. I have emphasized this point several times, but I still want to emphasize it again and again, because this point is the most distinctive feature of Master Chen Guoqi. Buddhism has been spread for more than 2,000 years, and it has evolved into each region with its own characteristics.Thailand has Thai characteristics, China has Chinese characteristics, Japan has Japanese characteristics, Tibet has Tibetan characteristics, and India has Indian characteristics

The formation of characteristics is not only related to local customs, customs, and national character, but also has a lot to do with the changes of the times. Therefore, some modern Buddhist masters, eminent monks and great monks who have attained the Tao take it as their duty to participate in social activities and socialize Buddhist principles. In addition to propagating the Dharma, the great monk also took active actions, which of course deserves to be welcomed by the society. However, it can be seen that most of the social activities in Buddhism are theoretical, that is to say, if the great monk does not do this, others can do it, and it is not necessary for the great monk to do it. It is not that other than the great monk, others are incapable of doing it.

This fact only shows one point: the vast majority of Buddhist masters have not mastered supernatural power. Perhaps, from the standpoint of pure Buddhism, there is no need to master supernatural power, or you can grasp it by yourself, and you can understand it by heart. Only care about one heart. Maybe there is such an idea, and there is also a way to do it. As a result, sentient beings cannot see the concrete display of the Buddhadharma, nor can they rely on the Buddha's boundless power to seek blessings and eliminate disasters. Master Chen Guoqi is different from that kind of Buddhist masters.

How much mana did Master Chen learn from Master Xuanxing, and whether all the acquired mana was achieved immediately, or did he have other methods? In addition, no one will know exactly about Tantrism. After all, it is based on Tantra. Like Master Chen, due to the different background of the times, the degree of secrets is different from that of thousands of years ago, but it will not be completely open. He showed me many mantras he had copied by hand. Some of them specified that they must be copied with a brush, and some of them had to use a brush or red pen to copy every word in Tibetan. The mantras were all in Tibetan. The books are all one centimeter thick and densely packed. There are several books that I believe are only what I can see, and there are many others that have not been shown. This copying effort alone is quite heavy.

Those mantras each have their own supernatural powers. The most common ones can be disclosed to outsiders, but most of them cannot be taught after becoming disciples without going through the initiation ceremony. When Master Chen demonstrated this, he specifically explained this point. Although I am very curious, I know that I can't understand it even after reading it, so it is better not to move. Master Chen flipped through it briefly and introduced several mantras that can be made public. Long-term chanting will improve health (the Longevity Mantra mentioned above falls into this category.)

Master Chen immediately recited these secret mantras. This is the first time I have heard the recitation of Tantric mantras. It sounds up and down, and the syllables are regular and irregular. Very idiosyncratic. Moreover, there are very few opportunities to come into contact with Tibetan pronunciation on weekdays, so listening attentively can quite arouse incredible associations, as if you have also entered the mysterious world of Tantric Buddhism. At least, you can look inward from the edge, although you can’t see anything. , but the wonderful feeling lingers for a long time. These many spells are to be recited when casting spells, depending on different needs. The connection between reciting spells and supernatural powers is a characteristic of many supernatural powers. It not only represents righteous supernatural powers, but also represents evil. Supernatural powers also need to chant mantras.

The process of performing many witchcraft is simply the process of reciting incantations. As for why there is such a close relationship between supernatural power and the chanting of mantras, my hypothesis is very bold: Suppose supernatural forces have a master, and the total source of power comes from the master. Then, the mantra you read is a spoon that unlocks the source of total power. It sounds ridiculous to think of the chanting of mantras as a key.But just imagine it a little further: the key is a sonic key, and it's not so nonsensical. There are many kinds of keys, magnetic, infrared, sonic, and automatic fingerprint recognition

Assuming that spells are the key to unlocking supernatural power, various supernatural powers require different keys of spells to unlock. When the mantra is recited, the syllables are strange and mysterious. In most cases, it needs to be recited many times, and many people need to recite it together, which will form a huge sound wave power and play a role in mobilizing supernatural power. Such an assumption is naturally a kind of assumption. It can also be assumed that as soon as the mantra is recited, the Bodhisattvas in the heavens will have a response, and the magic power will be lowered. It is just a different way of saying it, and the principle remains the same.

Supernatural powers have such powers. There are many examples in the Christian Bible that God hears prayers. It can be seen that human voices, under certain circumstances, can touch supernatural powers. There are many examples, just to name three: The people did what the king commanded, and after that God heard the prayers of the people. (2 Samuel 20:14.) The LORD showed Solomon that I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins (Chron. VII. 14.) I, the poor, cry out, and the LORD hears. (Psalm thirty-fourth verse six.) Compared with human power, the supreme supernatural power can communicate with people, and the tantra mantra can act as a law, and it is also possible to complete the procedure of mana descending under this situation. I have an even bolder hypothesis: spells, a language for communicating supernatural powers. In the process of communication between man and supernatural power, language has never been a barrier. Like Christian prayers, no matter what language is used, from the native language on the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe to the Li language on Hainan Island in China, God can understand and communicate. My mother can only speak Zhejiang Ningbo dialect. Thirty years ago, as a devout Christian, she would often speak loudly by herself when she was praying. When she was asked what she was doing, her answer was: she was talking to God. At that time, I naturally laughed out loud when I heard it, and thought it was a lie. After I became a Christian myself, thirty years later, I realized that it is not difficult to talk to God. Moreover, not only does God speak whatever words are spoken in prayer, Can receive, and, the prayer will also receive the language signal of the target, from God. There is no language barrier to communicate with supernatural powers, but if the mantra is originally the language used by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, will the supplicant use the language of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to communicate with them, will it be more cordial and convenient? What about the role of easier communication? There is this possibility. Because mantras and chanting mantras play a very important role in the process of casting spells, almost every spell casting requires the use of mantras, and for those who practice Tantric Buddhism, the teaching and application of mantras is a major content. So it is specifically brought up for discussion. In this part, it is also purely my personal assumption. Whether these assumptions can be established, of course, I at least think that there is a possibility, no one can be absolutely sure. What is certain is that the chanting of mantras can work, which has been proven countless times in the process of Master Chen's practice of Buddhism. If we make a bolder hypothesis: supernatural powers are related to advanced alien creatures, and the gods and Buddhas with great powers are all aliens.Spells, then, are an alien language! It is very interesting to make various assumptions about some wonderful things. Mantras are an important part of secret law, most of them are the secrets of practitioners, and even the textbooks that are copied down for practice must be written by oneself, which is extremely solemn. But there are also a few that can be made public. Master Chen Guoqi has also made some public. Some of them can make the mind calm to a certain extent, and some can achieve the effect of peace to a certain extent. It is suggested that the editor of this book should attach some spells that can be made public as an appendix at the end of the book. (It seems that quite a few appendices have been suggested to be necessary so that the reader can have at least a superficial understanding of tantra. See picture) In addition, the original Tibetan text, the phonetic notation added by Master Chen, and the effects of the mantra are all explained in detail, so that friends who believe in the effectiveness of the mantra can recite them from time to time. As I write this, I happen to be chatting with some friends who claim to be Xiu Tantric, and he also believes that mantras have a very important effect. My friend, when I asked him which school of esoteric law he practiced, he hesitated and refused to say it. It is extremely secret, so of course we can't press too much. Two issues were discussed with him. One problem is that esoteric practitioners, like Guru Chen Guoqi, in many cases, get immediate results. This kind of spell-casting process, not to mention those who experience it, even bystanders will be greatly shocked.Even a person who believes in science extremely will be shocked by the inconceivable supernatural power of Buddhism. At that moment, he will throw himself to the ground and become a believer. There are a lot of disciples and followers of Guru Chen, most of them are in this situation bow down. In my opinion, this kind of situation is the most convincing demonstration of Buddhism, and it is impossible not to believe that the impossible fact is happening in front of your eyes. There are also some processes of applying the Dharma, but the effect is not immediate, and it is not even known when it will be effective. For example, there are also those who claim to be able to use Buddhist or secret methods to change the fate of believers. The caster casts the spell, the caster, when the fate can be changed, how to change it, so what if it does not change, and so on, there is no immediate answer, ambiguous and confused. There are also people who claim that they can change the environment and use the changed environment to affect people's fate and health, that is, Feng Shui. The caster has given many instructions, such as tearing down walls for the big ones, keeping a tank of fish in the corner for the small ones, and putting a pot of rice under the bed. When will it take effect and what effect will it take. This kind of spellcasting process is not only not shocking, but also persuasive is a big problem. The second question is related to the first question: Those who deeply believe in the existence of Buddhadharma (a kind of supernatural ability) are more likely to feel the power of Buddhadharma than those who do not believe at all. People who don't believe in the existence of Buddhism at all can certainly feel the experience of the little boy Lu Yongdong at the beginning of this book in the process of the powerful Dharma. Believers are especially prone to feel the existence of mana, and it is easy to assume why there is such a situation: Believe, of course, the whole thought of the believer is ready to accept it, and when the mana falls, it will naturally be accepted. one is right. If unbelievers are unprepared, it will be more difficult to accept. In another case, some people think they are very knowledgeable, not only do not accept, but resist, then naturally they will not get anything. , but pushed it away in various ways, how do you feel? There has long been a saying: sincerity leads to spirit. That's what I mean. In other words, isn't Buddhism boundless (infinite supernatural power)? Why can't it be accepted by unbelievers or resisters? Of course, many unbelievers and those who resist are before the Dharma. From unbelief, resistance to unreserved belief, they are more devout than those who originally believed, but the most important thing is to accept it on their own initiative. If someone is determined not to accept it, why must he accept it?Believe it or not, it's up to you.Although it is said that Buddha is merciful and saves all living beings; Christ is fraternal and loves and saves all peoples, but if you are unwilling to come, you will not force yourself. Otherwise, how could there be evil spirits and devils? The above discussion is purely my personal opinion, and I will take this opportunity to express it.In real social life, things that are beneficial require people to work hard to take the initiative to fight for them. If you don’t fight for them, why give you the metaphor of benefits is the easiest to understand. This part of the book discusses the status of spells in supernatural power phenomena from various angles, and makes various assumptions. It is dare to say that it is an unprecedented pioneering work, and readers should not take it lightly.
