The Dogon is an ethnic group in Africa that lives in the mountains south of Timbuktu and belongs to the territory under the current Mali Republic. All along, this nation has aroused great interest of anthropologists, because their preserved myths and legends are obviously different from other African nations. For example, the legend about Sirius. Their legends mention that Sirius has a dark, dense, invisible partner where the heaviest matter in the world resides. So I called this dark partner Botoro. Toro means star, and wave is a kind of tiny grain, which means a star as small as grain. This legend brought a shocking agitation.

It wasn't until 1844 that astronomers speculated that Sirius had another invisible companion star from its abnormal trajectory; in 1862, the existence of Sirius B was confirmed. Sirius B is a non-luminous white dwarf star. Its diameter is about the same as that of the earth, but its mass is almost the same as that of the sun, so its density is extremely high. The material weight of Sirius B as big as a teacup is already twelve tons. Here comes the problem. Why did the Dogon people know about Sirius B, which is invisible to the naked eye, thousands or even hundreds of years earlier than modern astronomers?
