Yu Huitang, born in 1935, is from Longkou City, Shandong Province.In 1959, he graduated from the History Department of Shandong University and stayed there to teach.From 1960 to 1961, he studied logic in the Philosophy Department of Wuhan University. After returning to school, he has been engaged in the teaching and research of formal logic and dialectical logic for a long time. He is currently a professor of the Philosophy Department of Shandong University, the director of the Logic Teaching and Research Section, a postgraduate tutor, a director of the Chinese Logic Society, a director of the Chinese Formal Logic Professional Committee, a director of the Chinese Dialectical Logic Professional Committee, and the president of the Shandong Provincial Logic Society.His main works include "Logic", "Logic of Dialectical Thinking", "Guide to Self-study of Formal Logic", etc.He has published many academic papers in such newspapers and periodicals as "Literature, History and Philosophy", "Journal of Shandong University", "Guangming Daily", mainly including "Discussion on "Logical Form and Objective Existence"", "On the Correct Form of False Premise and Reasoning Discussion on the Conclusion Nature of Syllogisms", "On the Concept Classification of Dialectical Logic", "On the Judgment Classification of Dialectical Logic", "Formal Logical Reasoning and Dialectical Logical Reasoning", "On Inductive Reasoning", etc.
