Chapter 57 ★Five five out of busy work

The reason why we are busy at work is that we do too many unproductive things and waste too much time.Things like sharpening pencils, cleaning the desk, making unnecessary calls, making a cup of coffee, scheduling, drafting reports, doing research, making more unimportant calls, etc.We firmly believe that these things must be done before entering the formal work.In fact, some jobs will be overwhelming and necessary.However, the work I mentioned here belongs to the kind of work that does not need to be busy. Work can get busy for two reasons.One, we don't do what we really should do; two, we really don't have much to do, but we have to act like we're busy.In this age of workaholics, busywork is already an art form.Therefore, in some cases, it is an unavoidable phenomenon that we must spend ten to twelve hours a day in the office.

When I started to reduce work and increase leisure, the first thing I gave up was the busy form of work.It is difficult for us to define what kind of work is busy work.Because each job has different levels of difficulty for each person.However, even if you don't want to admit it publicly, you know what kind of work is busy.What I can tell you is that when you get away from the busy work, your life will be much simpler.This is not because you have less work, but because you get more satisfaction from your work, which increases your productivity.If you plan the processing order of some things before work, and then work according to the items on the schedule, I believe your work will no longer be busy.
