Journey of Wisdom 朱邦復 17788Words 2023-02-05
standard, going abroad, approval, radar The manufacture of Chinese typewriters has always haunted me. Once I saw a 40-character coordinate plotter (Ploter) in an advertisement, and I felt like a treasure. When I designed the Chinese character library, I once thought that the vector structure is actually the coordinate position, and when it is sent to the plotter, Chinese characters can be written immediately.Of course, this kind of calligraphy is not good-looking, and I thought that as long as I redesign a pen and use a program to control the brushwork, it will definitely meet the art of Chinese calligraphy.

The most advantageous thing is that the cost of this method is low, and it can be reduced to less than 30 dollars in mass production.I made it when I thought of it, and immediately asked Lin Jiaxun to use the structure of Hanka, add a keyboard and a plotter, and I used acrylic to mold the outer shell. In less than a week, we finished a small and exquisite Chinese typewriter. Although it is pieced together using off-the-shelf components, and the pen for writing is not ideal, but from all aspects, it is hard to put it down.I can write about five or six characters per second, and it is not difficult to speed up, but no one could type that fast at that time.As for the writing pen, it can also be changed, and it comes in a variety of colors and thicknesses.

This is just a sample for experimentation, I plan to design pens of various widths to write various fonts.Ready-made plotters have only forty columns, half the size of normal letter paper.I found the manufacturer, and they already have 80-way models.Under the control of the microcomputer, it is an out-and-out Chinese document system. I showed it to Zhuang Ling, who did a special interview for TTV.Later, the director of the industry bureau came to me and introduced the Bank of Communications to invest 5 million yuan to cooperate with our company in production.Everything is going well, but this is only a long shot for the future. At present, due to the poor financial situation of Lingyi Company and I don't want to borrow money, I have to take care of all aspects, which is very difficult.

At the end of 1982, the Information Policy Committee notified the industry to hold a Chinese coding conference.Representatives from more than 20 manufacturers attended the conference, and I was one of them.In the press, there are reporters from the Economic Daily and the Industrial and Commercial Daily. Unexpectedly, it was He Yici who presided over the meeting. I remember that at the Xitou meeting last time, he was very humble, thinking that he knew nothing about the emerging industry of information.Unexpectedly, after a few years, the tone has changed, as if the king is in the world. He said that in order to save the Chinese computer industry, he designed a set of Chinese codes, and asked everyone to recognize them as Chinese exchange codes and use them together.

When he explained the details, it turned out to be the incomplete set of Xitou marina, but now it has transformed into Shangfang's sword! In the venue, only me and the reporter from the Economic Daily were the last survivors.According to He Yici, this code is a masterpiece planned by a first-class expert in China under his auspices! If you are the vice chairman of the National Science Committee, you can cover your ears and steal your bell, and cover up the sky with one hand, I am really ashamed to be a Chinese! Xitou Pier is just a child's play, the result of entertainment where everyone makes ball soup. The meeting was noisy, there was no conclusion at all, and no one who attended the meeting endorsed it.I was one of those who participated in the whole process of the Xitou meeting. From the beginning to the end, everyone opposed the formulation of immature national standards.Because everyone has this consensus, few people take Xitou Wharf seriously.Of course, except for a few people with ulterior motives! Now, He Yici thinks that it is a magic weapon to enter the information industry, which is really chilling!

I immediately objected. There were only 13,000 characters in Xitouma, and there were 18,000 characters in the names of the National Taxation Bureau at that time, let alone the characters used in books.I think the Chinese exchange code should include all the characters used. As for how much each company uses, it should be determined by the computer company based on the scope of the application. Ho Yi-chi retorted that the establishment of the Chinese exchange code was to take into account the interests of the industry, and the lack of characters was due to technical difficulties. As for the problem of insufficient words, the country can legislate to limit the range of words used by the people.

I was shocked when I heard that! This is exactly the result I am most worried about. I have been fighting alone for many years, but where is He Yici hiding?Today, the Chinese market has become popular, so he came up with a sawing arrow method, cutting the feet to fit the shoes, in the name of enabling the industry to have business to do, but in his heart he wanted to cut off the lifeblood of Chinese culture. What is the difference between 13,000 characters and 8,000 characters?Isn't it the difference between one hundred steps and fifty steps? In the first year of the Republic of China, the national government announced the 8,000-character telegram code, which has already become the international Chinese communication standard.I have participated in many important coding conferences in China, and I know the whole story.Insufficient words are not the main reason. In fact, some people want to show their merits and strive for an authoritative position.

The earlier design of the plain code was ill-considered, and eight thousand characters were not enough, which led to all kinds of troubles today. But now that the technology has advanced and the equipment has been updated, it is clear that 60,000 to 70,000 characters can be incorporated into the system at the same time. Why not take advantage of the current planning and solve it completely at once?If you have a little brain, you can see that more than 10,000 words are definitely not enough. Once a large amount of data is archived, it will be extremely painful if you want to modify the standard.

This is not only true for laymen, but most of the people who are currently engaged in Chinese computer work have never been involved in the planning of Chinese systems, and have no understanding of text application and functional efficiency. Some people even think that if you put a few Chinese characters in the computer, it is considered a Chinese computer.Under this premise, for businessmen who sell computers, the less words used, the lower the cost, and the less trouble for programmers who design. So why not use eight thousand words?Simply, wouldn't it be easier to use English? Some misleading experts have also put forward some plausible theories, believing that fewer words can save transmission speed and take into account the ability to be compatible with English software. This theory is equivalent to saying: Because China has a large population, if there are fewer people, not only the transportation will be more convenient, but the standard of living of the people will also be improved, and we can even rival industrial countries.

This theory is 100% high-sounding, but it is also 100% inconsistent with reality. How can we change the fact that China has a large population?Ignore minorities?Or kill half of it? This kind of statement sounds ridiculous, so why is it not ridiculous to admit only 13,000 words? If we want to free China from poverty and ignorance, and make Chinese computers play their cultural benefits, is there no other way?Although the times are progressing, human nature remains. Ignorant and incompetent people who are eager for quick success will always try their best to seek huge profits for themselves, and then use grandiose rhetoric to cover up their selfishness.

The real Chinese computer users are household registration, land administration, fiscal and taxation agencies, and libraries, all of which require a complete Chinese character set.If this set of internal codes is unsuccessful, it will be fine, but it will be difficult to adapt to the market, and there will be opportunities for improvement sooner or later. If the state legislates to restrict the use of characters by the people, the result will inevitably be that after several generations, the Chinese will have no chance to understand the ancient characters used in history, and they will completely part ways with Chinese culture. Sure enough, in 1995, for the computerization of household administration, the Secretary of Household Affairs formulated another set of characters with 5,5196 characters. The result of the trial in Beibei and Gaozhou alone is less than 6,000 characters. In the future, another set of standards may be required for library computerization.Unfortunately, all the experts who talked so much back then have retired at this time. As a reclusive old man, I still want to be Mrs. Feng again. At that time, I unceremoniously accused He Yici in front of representatives of various computer companies and media reporters, saying: Doing so is a cultural sinner! If you say that you have technical difficulties, it means that you are not capable enough!I have proved that there are more than 30,000 characters in the Chinese card, and in addition, Acer's Tianlong, Shentong's Hantong, and Chengzhou's Cangjie all have 30,000 to 40,000 characters. If you don't know, you might as well ask them first! How can you bury your head in the sand and insist that it is technically impossible?Instead, set a standard of more than 10,000 characters? The more I talked, the angrier I became, and I completely forgot that I was a cultivator! You are a businessman, I never deal with businessmen! He Yici was also on fire. You are wrong, I am not a businessman!I engage in Chinese for the sake of culture, and the country wants me to give it to the country! He Yici waved his hands, put away the materials on the table, and said: I don't want to talk nonsense with you, I have an important meeting down below, so I'm leaving first. Guoyun has always wanted to smooth things over, but she can't get in the way.Seeing that He Yici was about to leave at this time, he had no choice but to accompany him out shyly. For a while, the scene was very tense, and no one spoke. There was silence at the venue, and Guoyun came back after a while, and asked me: Mr. Zhu, is it true that you said you would give it to the country? Absolutely true, several people present can testify that I only ask the government to solve the problem of Lingyi Company for me, and I can put all my heart and soul into establishing the Chinese system. Then Guoyun asked the manufacturers present for their opinions, and everyone supported a common and practical solution. In order to prove that it is indeed available, three engineers were dispatched on the spot: Shi Chongtang from Acer, David Liu from Shentong, and Wang An, whose name I can't remember. They will jointly evaluate on behalf of the manufacturers to decide the trade-offs. There are three parts to my technical plan. One is the Chinese character library, which can provide 30,000 to 40,000 characters in a space of 64KB (it can be expanded if there are more). And there are various font sizes and font types. The second is the Chinese system. In order to be compatible with English, Chinese must consider the arrangement of internal codes to achieve the highest efficiency. The third is the Chinese software. We have developed a set of comprehensive document, database and form processing programs on the Polaris system. After the evaluation, the three engineers unanimously agreed and suggested that the Capital Policy Council adopt it.On December 15th, under the guarantee of Guo Yun, the executive director of the Investment Strategy Association, and Huang Weide, the deputy executive director, it was confirmed that the technology transfer would be officially carried out after the Lunar New Year. This time I firmly believe that there will be no further changes. Everyone knows that the Information Policy Council is the government's computer management agency. The two responsible directors have assured me. Could it be wrong? Some colleagues in Lingyi Company were a little bit incomprehensible to my decision at the beginning.I explained my position to them. In front of the big self, the small self cannot be taken into account. In addition, Chinese requires a lot of special skills. In the future, their work will only become more important, rather than disbanded. After the lunar year, all the transfer materials are ready, Zero One has closed down, and everyone is waiting.Day by day, week by week, there was no movement at all, and it didn't look like anyone was interested in our technology.why?I really can't understand, this life is always like living in a nightmare! I called Huang Weide to the Capital Strategy Association, but every time he was not there, let alone Guoyun.I couldn't find the above person, so I had to find a few managers or engineers, but the result was that they were not there, or they didn't know what to ask. I remember that around April 3rd, a reporter from the Economic Daily who participated in the meeting called me and asked me how the Chinese technology transfer was going.I told him that there was no news, but he said that the result of his inquiry was that I was accused of being a Communist, so there might be something wrong with the transfer plan. I couldn’t help feeling disheartened when I heard that, I knew that once the Communist Party’s hat was put on, and I had planned to go back to the mainland, let’s not talk about culture, my life might be in danger. I was not engaged in Chinese computer work for the sake of fame and fortune, but to contribute to the salvation of Chinese culture. If the society affirms me, I am obliged to contribute more to the society, otherwise why bother to humiliate myself?Although I still have a lot of ideas about computer software and hardware, and they all have huge commercial interests. But in a place where the righteous are few, much profit can be great harm. Get out of this place of right and wrong! If the state has the way, it will be an official, and if there is no way, it will be hidden. The master has long seen clearly.Since someone sees me as a thorn in the side, why don't I back down a few steps? I thought of Yuan Shouqian, he used to be my father's subordinate, and when my father was there, he told me to call him for important matters. He is currently a high-ranking official and is involved in state affairs, so maybe he can find out some news.I always go to the Three Treasures Hall for nothing. When I called, Uncle Yuan said he was looking for me, but he didn't know my phone number or address. He confirmed that there was indeed such a small matter, and it is impossible to mention such a trivial matter to the National Security Council. In any case, the meeting of the science and technology group that day was chaired by the chairman of the National Security Council. During the meeting, it was discussed whether to accept my technology transfer. The chairman also had a report accusing me of being the Communist Party. The chairman said: Since this person is the Communist Party, what should we do if the Communist bandits also use this trick? There was a silence at the meeting, and after a while, a committee member (it is said to be Mr. Shen Junshan) said: We should consider whether this person’s technology is useful. If it is because the Communist Party uses his technology, we should not use it. .If the Communist Party decides to adopt the Three Principles of the People, do we have to give up? The following is gone, and Uncle Yuan didn't know what was going on in the audience. He just asked me cautiously: Are you a Communist Party? Uncle Yuan, my late father didn't want money, and I don't want money either, but I'm definitely not the Communist Party. This problem is very serious, I suggest you leave Taiwan! I couldn't take care of the typewriter, so I immediately arranged for the company's funeral. First, I asked if anyone voluntarily went into exile with me, but only Shen Honglian was willing. That's enough, in fact, only she can help me.Then I transferred all the equity to the employees, only to realize that the company's finances were almost empty due to technology transfer. I was busy arranging some business again, and at the same time I took time to go to Keelung Tianxian Temple to ask how my luck was recently. The great emperor said, "Let's go!"If a villain harms you, it will be too late! But the company has no income, so I still need to do some business.Even God said so, and I was in a hurry. No, the company has no problem, you go, the sooner the better! Where are you going? What I want to ask in my heart is whether I can go to the mainland, because only in the mainland can I learn Chinese. You know it yourself, go away! Then I can't come back after I leave? Who said that?I will definitely be back, don't worry! On April 20th, Shen Honglian and I hurriedly left Taiwan by plane, and arrived in Los Angeles, USA on the 21st, starting our eight-year exile. Lao Sun came to pick me up at the airport and asked us to stay at his house, but since my wife and children are also in Los Angeles, I declined. Lao Sun introduced me to an American lawyer. He has a Chinese name of Wan Peiding and he studied under Zhao Yuanren. He is very funny and enthusiastic. He helped me find partners and strategize. In addition, I met another Mr. Jiang Xiangjia, who was in his fifties at the time, a native of Sichuan, and used to be a military attache at the Chinese embassy in the United States. Lao Sun said he was Deng Xiaoping's cousin. Organizing the company is not a trivial matter. After waiting for more than a month, there has been no progress in all aspects.Shen Honglian decided to go back to Taiwan. I know she will have no problem going back, but it is hard to say whether she will come out again. Can I keep her?Even whether I can find opportunities for development is uncertain. The United States is no better than Taiwan. My life has been ruined. How can I drag her into the water?I booked her a flight for Saturday, and I also prepared for the worst. If she can't come out again, I will have to work hard on my own in the future, what can I do?Everything is God's will. On Friday morning, Mr. Jiang came with a Mr. Qian and said that an American company in San Francisco asked me to design Chinese radar.I have lost faith in what miracles can happen in one day.Once Shen Honglian leaves, I will support the main beam by myself, and I am afraid that I will not be able to do it.Mr. Qian thought there was still one day anyway, and he volunteered to send us to San Francisco. If it didn’t work out, we could come back that day.If the negotiation is settled, wouldn't everyone be happy? So, driven by Mr. Qian, we rushed to San Francisco immediately to find the company. We had a good talk, the two of us have a monthly salary of 5,000, which is tax-free, and the check must be paid from overseas. Through the relationship of Mr. Jiang, this radar company sold a lot of navigation systems to the CCP. Of course, the premise is that it must be operated in Chinese.I know this is a difficult job, but I grit my teeth and move on. Mr. Jiang also came to San Francisco. He said that the Chinese government invited him and me to go back to China for sightseeing.I was flattered to hear that, but my job is not stable yet, I can't leave Shen Honglian alone in San Francisco. After hearing this, Mr. Jiang generously gave up his air ticket to Shen Honglian and asked us to go back and have a look. Rumors have it that the Taiwanese government has been spying on the Chinese embassy.I was afraid that after the exposure of going to the mainland, although I had nothing to fear, it would endanger Shen Honglian's relatives and friends in Taiwan and Lingyi's colleagues. When I went to apply for a visa, I specially bought a felt hat, wore black glasses, and sneaked in mysteriously. Although Shen Honglian was also nervous, she insisted on refusing to pretend. The Consul General at that time was Mr. Tang Shubei. He was very polite and immediately issued Taiwan compatriot certificates to us. It has been more than 30 years since I went to the country, and my accent has not changed. It is indescribable to return to the homeland I fled from in the past.We set off from San Francisco by plane on July 26, and arrived over Shanghai the next night.I looked down at the ground, and it was pitch black, with occasional lights, rarer than ships in the ocean. After the plane landed, we walked out of the cabin and passed the empty and not very open tarmac.Everyone filed and came to a small two-story building. The dim light and hot and humid air made me unable to believe that this is the largest city in Asia, Shanghai, let alone the long-famous Hongqiao Airport under my feet! I have always opposed material civilization, but what I saw made me wonder, is this China?Obviously, China is poor, but it is so poor that it is not much better than the city of St. Louis in Brazil! If the country is poor, the people must live in hardship. Although we usually see a lot of reports, there is always a distance from the personal experience. In the waiting room, there were several seventeen or eighteen-year-old girls in loose green military uniforms, chatting and laughing.I tried to strike up a conversation with them: Excuse me, are you soldiers? No, they laughed, and one said: We are customs officers. Ah, is Shanghai always this hot? It will be fine in a while, and the air conditioner has just been turned on.On the mainland, air-conditioning is called air-conditioning. Air conditioner just turned on?I didn't use my brain at all, and said it casually. To save electricity! How can I be like you?Are you American?Said a girl with an unhappy look. No, I'm Chinese, and it's the same when I'm at home. I turn off the air conditioner when I don't need it.I was trying to please her. I'm different, I don't have air conditioning in my house. The girl turned around and left after speaking. This kind of emotion seems to be seen everywhere, especially the sales lady in the store. Her late-night face is far uglier than the bus lady I saw in Taiwan in the 1950s. Once, Shen Honglian wanted to buy a dictionary and went to Xinhua Bookstore on Wangfu Street in Beijing to find it.The service girls sat behind the counter one by one, laughing at each other, no matter what the guests asked, they ignored them. Finally, Shen Honglian finally took a fancy to one and asked a lady how much it cost. After asking several times, she finally opened her mouth: how much is it?Can you afford it? What's the point?Doesn't the Communist Party's education emphasize serving the people? If it is said that a year and a half cannot change a person, I can believe it.However, communism has been practiced in mainland China for more than 30 years, which should help improve people's attitudes to some extent. What's more, Beijingers have always been famous for their hospitality and politeness, how could they become so surly? When we arrived in Beijing, the United Front Work Department entertained us to live in the Beijing Hotel, a large suite for each of us, which was very luxurious.I have always been used to being poor, so I feel uneasy about enjoying things like this, and because I have a small pocket, I pretend not to know about gifts and tips. And I have repeatedly stated that I most appreciate the custom of not giving gifts or giving tips in communism! The United Front Work Department also sent two officials to entertain us, one surnamed Lin and the other surnamed Wang.During more than half a month in the mainland, they have been with us from north to south, arranging the itinerary and contacting affairs, which is very hard. From many details, I have to sincerely admire their discipline and spirit of service. In Beijing, we visited the Forbidden City, the Ming Tombs, Fragrant Hills, Beihai, ate the famous Fangshan, and climbed the Great Wall, which is a hero. These scenes did not arouse much impact on me, because to understand an era, one must start with people.Although Beijing is full of people, it is not easy to read people's hearts. When I visited Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, I saw a note hanging in the cemetery. Everywhere I went, there were no exceptions. Those explanations are all stern words condemning the feudal monarchs for wasting the people and wasting money, wasting the people's fat and anointing, and built these worthless buildings.Yeah? If there were no such historical sites, everyone would eat fat and fat, and it would take tens of millions of years to turn into oil after death. What value would such Chinese people have?Where is the evidence for Chinese culture? What can Chinese people today be proud of?If you take pleasure in relegating your ancestors, you might as well think about your own future! One morning, Shen Honglian and I walked to the former imperial garden (now changed to the Workers' Labor Palace) next to the Forbidden City. I planned to learn about the people's way of life and ideas. The ticket is two cents RMB, and when you enter it, it is a huge garden. There are rockery and rocks, bonsai flowers and trees, and various buildings with carved beams and painted buildings. But at a glance, the ground is paved with loess and there is no grass growing, so you can't feel the greenery of the southern garden. It is rare to have so many flowers and trees in Beijing, where there is not much rainfall and a lot of wind and sand. The ground is very clean, it must be cleaned frequently, or everyone has a sense of public morality. There are people everywhere in the garden, most of them are old people. Some are practicing horse stance, some are doing Tai Chi, and some are half squatting and half sitting under a tree or in front of a wall, with their arms folded, as if they have a big tank in their arms. There are some long seats among the flowers, and many people are resting in groups of three or four.I especially want to know the content of their conversation, because this is the most real life. I also found an empty seat and sat down, surrounded by several old ladies. Most of the people stared blankly ahead, turned their heads occasionally, and chatted with the people next to them without saying a word, but they couldn't hear any theme. What does this mean?It could be a weak relationship, or a lack of confidence between people.I know that when people have nothing to talk to, it means that people have been isolated. For these elderly people, no matter how they look at it, they don't have much left. What does it mean if they are not interested in the things around them? After leaving Beijing, in order to enjoy the scenery of the motherland, we asked to take the train to go south.Passing through the Huaihe Plain, first went to Nanjing, and then crossed the river to Nantong to visit Shen Honglian's grandmother. Then go to Suzhou and Hangzhou, and return to the United States via Shanghai. We sat on a soft sleeper, four people share one room, which is quite comfortable. As soon as the day dawned, I stared out of the window, and for several hours, I saw a boundless piece of greenery as far as I could see, which was not at all the desolate and dilapidated Huaihe Plain as I imagined in the past.At least, I believe that people's food and clothing should not be a myth. When we were in Nanjing, we stayed in a very large and quiet hotel, which was said to have been Wang Hongwen's mansion. After visiting various places, what impresses me the most is the tall plane trees on both sides of the main road in Nanjing.Because Shen Honglian is from Nantong, the United Front Work Department specially arranged a visit to Nantong in the itinerary.Nantong is on the north bank of the Yangtze River. After leaving Nanjing, you have to take a ferry to cross the river. We left the hotel at 8:00 pm. The weather was as hot as a stove (the weather report said it was 38 degrees Celsius, but it was actually 42 degrees Celsius. The government deliberately underreported it to avoid panic among the people).Lao Lin, who accompanied us, said with a smile that Nanjing is one of the three furnaces of the Yangtze River. What a wonder of the world!I saw that the shoulders of Nanjing Main Road were densely packed with sleeping people. From the hotel to the pier, the car drove for half an hour, and I never saw a vacant lot.Probably only the Chinese in the world have this kind of patience. Everyone actually neatly organized, like fleeing from a refugee, but also like camping. The whole city sleeps in the open air. As soon as we arrived at the pier, there were even more crowds. Those who watched the excitement and those who were waiting to board the boat were all crowded into a pile.No one knew who was going to do what, anyway, some people were going this way, and some people were going there, and everyone crowded around. At this time, I was already sweating, and there was a layer of fog on the glasses, and I was dizzy from the heat in the crowd. The head of the United Front Work Department in Nanjing also came. He was a gray-haired old man who looked very weak.I thought that the minister must be a high-ranking official, but they told me that in terms of establishment, all places are called ministries, and the heads are all ministers.Probably this is one of the spirits of communism. Nominally, there is no class distinction, but internal classes are distinct. The old minister led the way and was pushed back and forth.I saw some people bullying him, deliberately pushing him and hitting him, I couldn't help but get angry.Especially Shen Honglian, her chivalry was aroused again, as if a volcano was about to erupt.Regardless of being a guest, I hurriedly squeezed in front of the minister, intending to reason with those evil guests. Lao Lin followed me closely, seeing that my expression was not right, he quickly pulled me back and said: It's really too hot today, don't worry. But why don't they respect older people at all? well! There is no way!The cultural level is not enough, forgive them! The way to keep VIPs out of trouble in Taiwan is to take advantage of privileges, and any VIP has a fairly special treatment. As far as I know, there were not many high-tech experts who went to the mainland at that time, and I was considered the most important VIP.And the only preferential treatment for me was lodging, and because hotels were severely lacking, I often had to be arranged in some special guest houses. What can I complain about?Do you want a police car to clear the way?Bodyguards? Shen Honglian's family is very ordinary, living a well-to-do life, and has a small status in the local area.We stayed for one day, transferred to Suzhou and Hangzhou, and visited Lingering Garden and West Lake. Finally, I took a flight to Shanghai and returned to the United States on August 8th. Just after returning to RDI company, Mr. Jiang brought another invitation letter, asking me to attend the International Chinese Information Conference held in Beijing at the end of September.Mr. Jiang thinks that I should return to China to serve, and I agree.Especially Chinese computer technology is at a turning point. If you don't grasp the right direction, you will have to pay a heavy price in the future. Because of Mr. Jiang's relationship, Radar did not make things difficult for me to return to China for a meeting. It's just that Bill has a condition. If Dalu intends to cooperate with me, he will share half of the rights, and I readily agreed.Unexpectedly, Bill put forward another condition, asking me to go with his lawyer, and no matter any negotiation, the lawyer must be present! Mr. Jiang quietly said to me, why not promise him first, the mainland will arrange for me.Sure enough, as soon as we arrived at the airport in Beijing, while we were waiting for our luggage at the baggage clearance area, two strangers suddenly walked in front of us.One stopped in front of the lawyer, and the other led me to the special crossing, and I went out without even checking my luggage.American lawyers had no choice but to line up stupidly, at a loss. When I arrived in Beijing, the hotel where I stayed was also arranged separately, and everything was kept secret. Computers are called computers in mainland China, and they are managed by the Computer Administration of the Ministry of Machinery. As soon as I went, I arranged a one-week lecture to explain my Chinese system concept. I sent samples and blueprints of Chinese typewriters to the Computer Administration, hoping that they would mass-produce them to facilitate the application of Chinese. From their attitudes, I found some abnormal psychological phenomena. They repeatedly emphasized that in the 1950s, their electronic technology was obviously superior to that of Japan.Although they do not deny their current backwardness, they reveal complex emotions mixed with inferiority complex and pride. I was immediately aware that if I was not careful, the resentment that I was eager to hide might be exposed. However, this is not a bad thing. Only when people are not convinced can they realize their potential. At least, it's better than those engineers who sincerely believe that foreign moons are round! It's just that those who value technology must value profit, because technology is the crystallization of profit. It would be quite good for those who are eager for quick success and quick profits if they can clean up their own front door and stop caring about others.I don't blame them, but I can't help but express my opinion, and the result I expressed is similar to that in Taiwan. In Taiwan, some people reported that I was a Communist Party, but here they said it more implicitly, only thinking that I was fooled by the Kuomintang. What I am most concerned about is their national standard code, which only accepts six, seven, six or three characters. The national standard of China is plagiarized from Japan's industrial standard code (JIS Code)! If we talk about reciprocity, Japan absorbed some culture and Chinese from the Central Plains in the past, and now it makes sense to return things to their original owners. But even the Japanese know that it is difficult to standardize cultural characters. For industrial needs, more than 7,000 characters are collected as an industrial standard. The Chinese probably think that the Japanese are more intelligent, or that modern China only needs industry. Therefore, Japan's industrial standards have suddenly become China's national standards! I told them that there was no need to condescend like this, that even if they accepted 24,000 characters, they could manage to coexist with the English system. But at that time, no one could listen to it. The mentality of the engineers was the same as what I saw in Taiwan. I thought that 6,000 characters was too much, so much that they couldn't recognize it.Preferably like the English alphabet, twenty-six, the easiest to handle. Another misconception is that there are a large number of idle software engineers, and they are not allowed to fully understand the system concepts and do not develop system programs by themselves. However, the Sixth Institute of the Institute of Software of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was launched to cooperate with the Fourth Ministry of Machinery to engage in various Sinicization programs. The so-called Sinicization is to change the English characters displayed in the original program into Chinese, nothing more.In terms of technology, it is still not as good as we modified other computers in Zero One to make them able to process Chinese. This kind of reluctance to study from scratch is definitely a dead end in the future. why?The value of software lies in the application of programming skills. If an engineer only looks at the appearance of the program and does not delve into its structural connotation, he will not get the essence of the technology. It is too easy to change the characters in the program to Chinese, but it is very difficult to develop software by ourselves. No one is unwilling to do easy things. In the end, apart from relying on plagiarism, the real skills of top-notch talents are wasted. Originally, I still had a glimmer of hope. If someone supported my views, I would stay and devote myself to giving what I have learned in my life to those who know people and make good use of it.Unfortunately, this little bit of humble hope will not work from Taiwan to the mainland. It seems that all those who engage in technology have to make a name for themselves. It has been the case since ancient times that literati look down on each other, as long as a slight modification is made, changing literati to peers will be vivid. One night, while I was resting at the hotel, the front desk called and said that a relative of mine had come to see me downstairs.I asked him to refuse on my behalf, because no one knew that I was here, let alone any relatives I knew. When I was in Beijing last time, a businessman from Hong Kong pretended to be my cousin and went to the Fourth Ministry of Machinery to do business. So when encountering these things, I would rather offend people than answer them. Unexpectedly, that relative was very persistent and came to my room, and the service staff couldn't stop me.I opened the door and saw a woman in her fifties and a gentleman standing next to the waiter.I have searched all over, but I still have no idea what kind of relative it is. The woman looked at my blank expression and said, "Are you Mr. Zhu?"I'm Xianfu, Jiang Xiangjia's cousin. Listening to her Sichuan dialect, I suddenly realized that she is Deng Xiaoping's younger sister!I hurriedly thanked the waiter, explained that they were indeed my relatives, and invited the two of them into the room at the same time. Mr. Jiang said that you are very patriotic and want to return to China to serve the motherland, so I came to see you. I dare not take it, I was inspired by Mr. Jiang. Where is the lover? How many dolls are there? After all, it is a woman who cares most about family affairs. Lover is in America and has a doll. The word "lover" is not easy to pronounce, so do as the Romans do when you enter the country. how old is the doll Sixteen years old, in high school. To be honest, I can't believe that this kind and amiable middle-aged woman in front of me is actually the sister of Deng Xiaoping, China's number one strongman! She was wearing a short gray jacket, black cloth trousers, short ear-length hair that looked like vermicelli in clear soup, and a pair of cloth shoes on her feet.Judging from her manner of speaking and the content of our conversation, she is completely a rustic countryman, and she is obsessed with family and family affection. She is an out-and-out traditional Chinese woman. She inquired about my life in detail, and since I haven't forgotten my Sichuan dialect, when talking about the past, it's really like a relative. We talked about it very late before she left. Before leaving, he repeatedly told her that he could find her if there was anything to do. The next day I told the reception staff of the United Front Work Department about this, and they shook their heads in disbelief, saying it must be a liar.Because in Deng Xiaoping's capacity, it is impossible for his sister to come out so casually. I don't think it's a liar, but I have doubts in my heart, how can Deng Xiaoping's sister be so plain?Anyone I have come into contact with in the past, as long as they have a three-point status, they must have a seven-point pomp.I believe that things of a feather flock together and people gather together. If she really is Deng Xiaoping's younger sister, then Deng Xiaoping is not only a political and military genius, but also a great man with noble moral character and outstanding ambition. People from the United Front Work Department inquired for a while, and came back to tell me that Deng Xianfu was really Deng Xiaoping's sister. Moreover, he joined the Communist Party in his early years, participated in the Long March, and made a lot of contributions. But by nature, he doesn't like to show his face, so the outside world doesn't know much about it. What a pity! a few days? What does it mean? No such plan. How could this be? Oops!這叫馬屁股上拍蒼蠅!what to do?
