At the rational level, human cognition must conform to objective facts, and objective facts are close to the reality of the universe.Therefore, the intellectual level can be said to be the culmination of all levels. If it develops further, it will return to the universe itself when it fully conforms to reality.

Belief is an abstract structure, invisible and qualityless, but it is the gene for the qualitative change from the level of consciousness to the level of reason.Faith is not superstition, and superstition is not belief. The difference between the two lies entirely in people's selfishness.Selfishness is subjective and only belongs to the individual's cognition of interests. One of the reasons why it cannot be revealed is that Zen masters generally realized the reality of the universe through intuitive experience. At that time, knowledge was not developed, and the relationship between concepts and reality was not yet understood.The only way is not to use written language, but to use the intuitive method.However, what we know is absolute rationality. What kind of method should be used to make people understand the truth of life and the universe? The second reason is that Zen is not knowledge, knowledge is available to everyone, everyone can use it, and use it for survival.If you return to the world of knowledge from the cognition of Zen, why not read all kinds of knowledge!The so-called knowledge is just some superficial cognition of the world on the surface of things. It is well said, but it runs counter to the truth. The third reason is that Zen is not a religion. Religion is when people are disappointed in knowledge and try to pursue the truth of life in another experience.For religion, this kind of experience is to put faith in a certain transcendent ability, and people's hearts get peace from it.Gaining peace does not mean having recognized what the peace you have gained is actually what it is. The fourth reason is that people's pursuit of life is based on the unknown, and the unknown is a mysterious phenomenon.Before the pursuit is ineffective and the actual truth is not obtained, once the mystery disappears, people's curiosity will also disappear.Even the great masters who have learned the truth dare not easily break this mysterious complex.In fact, if you want to pursue, the truth is endless. Even under rational cognition, there are still many curtains hanging in front of you.Keep the mystery, keep pursuing, the more you know, the farther you go.Wherever you go, you will have cognition there, so what is there to say? To put it bluntly, the universe is the source of life and a form of life.The universe is constantly changing, and for us who are in it, change is energy, and energy also has life.From the standpoint of hierarchy theory, the universe can be expanded layer by layer. Separated, everything is constantly changing; when viewed together, all things, you, me, and all beings are still a whole.The wonderful thing is that only human beings can see this, just because human beings are a complex that crosses all levels of structure. If you want to see far and wide, you have to see it with your mind instead of your eyes! In the world, under factors such as geography, time, cognition, and loss, the distribution of benefits must be different.Those who have vested interests are authorities and are often the rulers of interests.If interests are used as the objective social value standard, the belief in authority of people in the same society is the compromise of interests.After the compromise, the maintenance of group and social interests has become the norm, and the individual's body and mind have also been protected. Fortunately, not everyone has the ability to think, most people are willing to trust others, and authority can often act as a successful protector.However, if the authoritative person is also a human being with human needs, habits, and desires, it will inevitably be questioned or challenged by others. For example, when a person makes a request to an authority, the authority may not have the will or ability to make it happen.Over and over again, people's compromise has reached the limit, and the belief in this authority has begun to be disillusioned.To be able to maintain the belief forever, the only condition is that the authority must guarantee the exchange of interests. There are only two forms of interest exchange, one is material for physical needs, and the other is comfort for spiritual needs.Generally speaking, the former is easier to achieve because it can be measured, at least it is easy to judge whether it is achieved.The latter cannot be known from the appearance, and even for a person who does not have the ability to think freely, he may not even be able to tell what his spiritual needs are. The society needs authority, and the energy of this authority must be enormous, the bigger the better.If it is so large that it is impossible to get in touch with it every day, the chance of people asking for personal needs is smaller, and the possibility of disappointment is relatively reduced.At the same time, it must be large enough to have absolutely stable energy, so that it will not be overthrown by challenges that occur at any time. Tribes, societies, nations all have this function, and all are constantly evolving towards greater energies.Expanding the scope of this authoritative time and space, it becomes a concept without life and death, without substance, and meets the above-mentioned needs, which is what is commonly called God.People have faith in God, which means that people know that God is around, but they cannot see it.Man's request to God is not restricted, as to whether it is fulfilled or not, it depends on the individual's subjective belief. If people have absolute faith, they will recognize that what is God's gift is not God's will.But if a person does not have absolute faith, gaining is certainly a gift from God, and failing to become a test.At this time, if a person gives up his belief, he will have nothing to support. It is better to wait for the next opportunity. It is better to have hope than to have nothing. So what do you get?The most important thing should be the comfort to the lonely heart.The human heart is a prisoner imprisoned in the body, and can only communicate with the outside world through the senses. However, human concepts are limited, and everyone is too busy expressing themselves to accept others.神不同於人，信之則在，在則自我有了安慰。當人相信神在聆聽時，人不再感到孤寂，心中充滿了平安、快樂。 因為心是俘虜，是感受的中樞，人心若得到了平安快樂，也就得到了一切。人對物質有無、好壞的感覺都是相對的，而相對的比較，皆視記憶的素材而定。那麼素材呢？不過是一些利、害程度的感受而已。 當人在平安快樂的心境中，不論是什麼感受，都會得到平安快樂的認知。就像一個洗澡用的熱水器，水溫的高低決定於熱水器是否在加溫，非關水源的溫度。當人心情好時，事事都覺得如意；心情惡劣時，再好的事物也難以忍受。 層次論究竟有什麼用呢？前面說過，斯為信念，信者信之。我一生都在追求這種認知，對我來說，這是我認識人生的至寶。 在知識不發達的社會，人受到權威的箝制，所能相信的都是經過篩選，特意設計包裝的訊息。只要人們所思所想同步了，人心平順了，社會也就統一了。這相當於一種負向的動力，等到知識形成了力量，統治了人心，人對社會變化的動差接近靜止，這個社會的能量消失，完全喪失了活力。 在另一方面，正向的動力就是社會的不安、衝突、對抗，對個人而言，卻代表了追求、奮發、競爭。顯然社會與個人又是一種矛盾，而矛盾正是進步的動力，進步解決了一些問題，同時又創造了一些新的問題。 在繁複的各種現象以及不斷衍生的變化中，人反而不知道應該相信什麼。尤其是當今多元化的社會，崇尚實際功能，追求主觀認知，其結果是知識爆炸，各自分道揚鑣。層次論就是在這個立場下，設法將各種知識建立在統一的架構上，提供明確的認知。 最現實的例子，就是人對生與死的認知。人人都知道集體的利益大於個人的利益，長遠的大利重於眼前的小利，但為了生存，卻又不得不以私利為中心。為了自我，人希望絕對的自由，為了生存，人又必須放棄一些自由，這是現實的矛盾。 死亡則是難以想像的神秘，生時，人幻想著死後。死後，沒有一個人能捎回些許訊息。尚不知生，又焉知死？在這個兩不知的夾縫中，有各式各樣的假說粉墨登場。正因為不知，有人什麼都相信，有人什麼都懷疑，也有人朝三暮四。 對一個負向動力的人，沒有什麼解釋的必要，而對一個不滿於傳統或科學答案者，生死大謎實在不可思議。這個問題不解決，人對人生不能謂之瞭解，不能瞭解人生，人活著就只是一團肉血，毫無意義可言。 層次論提出的答案是，人跨越了九個層次，就像金字塔的結構一樣，越往上，能到達的人越少。到了登峰造極的頂點，這種人明心見性，通情達理，無私無我，有智慧有品格。在人間為聖為賢，離開塵世則為神為菩薩。 神是不具肉體，卻仍然運作在活人思維中的影響力。換言之，由於文化的影響，一些人無私無我的精神，得以流傳在後代的思維中。某一個群體通常具有某一種共性，此一共性往往來自文化上某一個體的精神感召，能將此一個群體凝聚成一種超越自我的力量。此一精神體即為神。 神不佔有空間，不具有形態，絕不可能被心智正常的人用眼睛看到。但是神絕對存在，具有抽象的結構，是人精神生命的根本。如果把人當作一個個單一的細胞，生存在一個龐大的身體中。則社會就是這個身體，而管理這個社會的主宰，則可以稱之為神。 所以，眼睛只看得到自己的人，是無法認識神的真實面目的。在層次論的定義中，個體與整體的關係，正是人與人類的關係。更進一步說，個人認知產生的信念，與人類整體精神力量的產生的神，也屬於同一模式。 由於理智層次完全建立在信念上，人間已無參考的借鏡，是以真偽難分，凡俗大眾雖見而不明。真信實信者，其信念必須貫通各層，他們正居金字塔頂尖，是到達另一個世界的臨界點。偽信虛信者，不過人云亦云，不透不徹，不通不達，自然不在塔頂！ 人活著的時候，由第一到第八層，層層都提供了機會，讓人進化到第九層。但是各層的慣性影響實在太大，很少有人能掙扎過來。能在意識層次停留的人就已不多了，這些人要能運用意志力，免除下層結構的影響。如果成功了，則有希望更上層樓。 有意志力的人如果無法控制自我，尚可稱為至情至性、有能有德之人。若從事藝術，必能出人頭地、名利雙收。若從政從商，必能翻雲覆雨、為所欲為。此類人有德必為大忠大賢之士，否則必然欺世盜名，玩弄天下於一時。 等而次之，在經驗層次之人於經驗中獲得認知的能力，是金字塔之中堅。他們能等因奉此，在太平盛世是人材，在荒淫暴亂之際，則是社會的焦點。唯人之經驗有極，每逢事態乍變，超乎其認知的範圍，即無所適從。然而世事雖常變，但本層次之人在社會上率為主流，因上層者少之又少，下層者又缺乏判斷力，無不對之馬首是瞻，景而仰之。日深月久，這些人遂自以為通天，自大自傲不知所止。人生百年，所知有限，人若知有限而謙，則有望培養自制之力，更上層樓。否則，此類人固享盡人間榮華，終難解得生死大事，不免於與草木同朽。 下餘之人，絕大部分皆屬學習層次，只要有機會，這些人都能學習。但是學習的結果，只能應變而無法認知。以人的結構而言，人人都可以由學習層次上達真知層次。 自人類建立文明以來，各層次在此金字塔的分配比例不變。隨著人類對宇宙事物認知的增加，金字塔的比例依然，但整體的能量更大。繼續下去，當能量高達某一地步，則頂點的臨界奇異點，即將與宇宙本體合一。 不知宇宙結構真相的人，日日嘶喊平等自由。殊不知身體器官各司其職，是人健康幸福之所在，若各器官皆要求平等，人即將解體。人生在世各有機遇，循規蹈矩是社會國家之福。若受他人慫恿，妄然置身於自己所不知之環境，豈不形同任人宰割？循私為己是人之常情，若無知而搖旗吶喊，則是自取其辱。 居學習層次之人，近朱則赤，近墨則黑，最易受到經驗層次之利用。若此輩之認知能力提高，達經驗層次，將更自命不凡。蓋經驗層次之人咸居社會要津，最易為聲名所誤。所謂聲名是動則有聲，多動則有名，聲名既得，遂信之以為真，雖欲更上層樓，怎知樓在何處？
