While I've eliminated most of my checking accounts, I still feel the need to categorize expenses. So, I use an account to log into these ledgers, and I use a checking management system to organize these ledgers. For example, I currently have three ledgers in my checking account: household expenses, savings, and investments.I prepared two logbooks the size of my wallet, and kept them with my checkbook. Whenever I write checks for household expenses, I mark the household ledger on the first bill register. The second bill registration book is divided into two parts: savings and investment. In order to facilitate the payment of bank loans, I deposit money into the household part, and then transfer money from the household part as needed. No matter how much the amount is, every time I transfer the money out, I will make a detailed record in the book.If we want to buy something, we can also withdraw money from the savings section, so that only one checkbook can be used for different payment purposes.

The same goes for the investing part.Once the balance of the investment part is insufficient, I just need to record the transfer amount in the registration book. When it's time for me to pay the bank, I just need to arrange the types of expenditure in the ledger (household, savings, investment), and then I can draw a check according to each type of account. Moreover, the balance of each deposit is recorded in the log book, which can be seen at a glance. By this division into three ledgers within one account, I can eliminate other bank accounts, checks, and bank accounts.Of course, you can set up more ledgers according to your needs. But don't overdo it and complicate yourself again.Do remember!Your purpose is to simplify your bill management system.
